The last time Brett Favre played in Green Bay, he was the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, and he was booed off the field by Packers fans. But times have changed. That's the word from Aaron Rodgers, who said on NFL Network that Packers fans love Favre again, as they did throughout his tenure as...

He's saying and doing all the right things, unlike the last guy who had his job.

The only game I am concentrating on is the 1st matchup with The Bears.

Fans of the Packers have no reason to not be welcoming to Brett Favre. He gave a lot to the franchise and to ignore that as a fan is kind of foolish. That's not saying to worship him, only saying to appreciate what he did as a player for the franchise. It's hard not to appreciate that.

I wonder if some fans perception of Favre would be different had Rodgers not turned out to be the QB he is? Its easy to say the Packers did the right thing since Rodgers took over pretty much without missing a beat but if Rodgers had been mediocre and the Packers were missing the playoffs and loading up on high draft choices would people look back at Favre's years a bit differently? Obviously it wouldn't matter to some. What happened to Rodgers and the Packers after Favre left has nothing to do with the way they look at Favre but would some of them be willing to overlook his perceived transgressions if the Packers had not continued on the upward path?

The thought that some one would have to "get through" honoring Favre on a night where we might have a chance to level a series with our bitterest of rivals for the first time in 8 decades is unfathomable. Yet there are people that continue to piss and moan about a guy who, for however unceremoniously he left, gave us 16 fan-fucking-tastic years. If someone wants to continue being butt hurt over the divorce that's their prerogative. And I know it won't be you, but it just baffles me that there will be people focused on some petty bollocks rather than what might be an historic turning point in the biggest rivalry in the greatest sport. All assuming we take care of business in Chicago against those spoiled, self-entitled twats.
