While I feel bad for the guy on a personal level, and admire his effort, this angst over Myles White is hilarious. The guy didn't "earn" a spot, had Nelson and Abbrederis been healthy White was the #7 WR. He needed two injuries just to break the 53. If Myles White was worthy of a spot on an NFL roster one of the other 31 teams would have claimed him. The guy had 3 years to prove he was something other than a guy that could be replaced by a street free agent and he couldn't do it.

Yeah, he caught some balls in the preseason. So what? Theres a never ending supply of guys like Myles White, Chastin West, and countless others who I cant remember that catch some balls in the preseason and never amount to anything.

You get the Jones hate from people who look at the inopportune drops he had early in his career and continue to say crap like "he can't catch the ball" or "he drops way too many passes." Of course they disregard the fact that he has greatly reduced his number of drops, the fact that he didn't really drop that many just that he dropped a few really big ones, and that their heroes (Jordy Nelson for example) have also dropped some pretty big passes in their career.

You get the Jones hate from people who think that just because he was cut from two teams that means he is washed up and can't possibly be of any help. They disregard the numerous posts that point out all the good reasons why he may have been cut by those teams and why they do not necessarily apply to the Packers situation.

And of course you get the Jones hate because, as you said, he's always had his haters.

The only question to answer is.

Are The Packers a better team with James Jones on the roster?

Obviously Ted and Mike thought so.

What's amusing about this whole thread is that the only reason White made the team was because of Jordy Nelson's injury, and it just so happens to be the same reason James Jones is back in Green Bay. As far as hating James Jones, nah, guy was just a disappointment, like a lot of other players. So if comes in and does the job, I guess we all win.

He had the gall to leave the bestest organization in all the whole world to make more money and get more playing time as another teams #1 so screw you buddy we don't want or need you back.

But I do agree with what you said and yes we are all guilty of it from time to time.
