Packers aren't as bad as most teams and no team is full of choir boys.

This is all a reaction to McCarty’s “garbage” statement. If you criticize a “media slut” [the word “journalist” is on the verge of being removed from the dictionary]; you will be attacked. They often act like a little verbal mafia.

I think McGuinn’s statement is an admission of guilt that Cohen’s article was purposefully designed to misinform. If you did a 100% honest and balanced report; why would you ever consider Davis coming in your proximity was some sort of intimidation? Clearly, Cohen pissing down his leg and McGuin’s sur-attack was a reaction to their consciousness that they did something worthy of getting their a$$ beat. Ya know like when they unfairly criticized the high school football team in the school rag and received golden swirlies for their dishonesty.

The “Holier than thou” comment shows McGuin is not acting with balanced scholarship; but resorting to ad hominem attack. Moreover, it’s a complete misunderstanding of what the Packers have accomplished. It’s not about putting together a group of choir boys; it’s about successfully evaluating character as well as football talent and having a program in place to teach these kids how to become men and treat their game as a professional.

It’s a violent game and choir boys need not apply [unless a kicker]. Give a 20-22 YO kid, who’s has been fawned over since he was 16, hundreds of thousands to millions of $$ and they are going to make bad choices. Exasperating the potential for the quantity and quality of mistake is that many kids did not have solid upbringings; face a lot of temptations; and have a dearth of quality character peers. So you don’t judge a programs by the shear # of arrests; because people only get arrested for every 1000 criminal things they do; a few arrests or non arrests can skew the #s.

These kids will screw up; probably 80-90% to differing degrees. The GB program provides support, mentoring, training and follow-up; before, during and after these kids screw-up; thus keeping these kids on a path to manhood. Maybe the most important thing is that they keep these kids from undermining the program [so some are cut loose] ...this is what separates GB from other franchises.

McGuin's article is garbage too 😂

Of course McGinn needs to get his shots in. Dredging up Jolly and Lyerla in addition to Guion as "proof" that the Packers are actively seeking out criminals to put on the field. [horseow]

It's like I said before, this stuff maybe had some relevance about 4 months ago but bringing it up now out of nowhere when it has nothing to do with anything currently happening with the team just looks desperate and unprofessional.

Bye week and Mcguin and company had their feelings hurt because McCarthy called the former article what it was.

No new news in this article, just a writer trying to up his numbers with negative remarks.

Then Sherman lost the GM role to Thompson, and Sherman held a grudge as some reports have suggested Sherman attempted to not work/talk with Thompson... and between that and Thompson being anti-media and doing the least amount possible with the media as he can do and still follow NFL rules, McGinn has seemed to pick up and keep that grudge that Sherman had, writing negatively about Thompson every chance he gets.

Also it probably didn't help that Thompson has also had some struggles with others that were reportedly liked by the media and might of been giving a scoop every now and then like Brett Favre and Andrew Brandt.
