The man says he desperately wants to be coached, so, who's not coaching him?

The playoff debacle in Seattle two seasons ago may have been the beginning of the end for this team.

We are still feeling the effect, and the effect is that this team is spiraling downward.

Everything has to be on Rodgers' terms and according to his whims, that is all this phrase means.

I don't disagree that Aaron wants things a certain way. That's part of his know it all character. He studies hard so he feels he knows better. That's why it takes a very smart coach to reach him.

The man receives coaching everyday-it is a stupefyingly ridiculous to think otherwise.

but maybe I can help:

There are EXTREMELY talented guys that simply refused coaching and/or refused to play well with others. IT DOES EXIST, no tin foil required. Some fans have no experience with this, so their only means of processing this concept is through their own fantasies; for example, they think [heck maybe even they say donning their GB Jersey with their name on back standing in front of the mirror], "what would I do If I was talented and played for GB, I'd try to be the best I can be every day." They then juxtapose this fantasy posture along side the psychological imposition that idolatry invokes and apply a few selects facts [like, he studies] to conclude that it's on the coaches, who dont coach him. The remedy for this affliction is to: WATCH THE GAME.

I wont go looking for it; but think I remember you called for McCarthy to be replaced if we dont win the SB or some nonsense like that. This would be tantamount to allowing the inmates to run the asylum. Rodgers doesn't like the offense, he's not getting his way, so he sabotages games and you get rid of the coach? Do you think a respected coach with other options would take that job? Answer: 😂 😂 😂 😂. Rodgers is the only guy playing like a, a, what is the legal term, oh yea, Dick. Some guys may not be playing well at all or at times, but they are not DICKS. It is not on the coaches!!!

Did you see the progress of Callahan and Hundley??? The QB coaching is there for ANYONE who wants to accept it.

I was really digging that last post until you blew up your high ground by saying Rodgers is intentionally blowing games because he doesn't like the offense. While I'm certainly willing to entertain the possibility, that's the polar opposite extreme of your "what would I do If I was talented and played for GB, I'd try to be the best I can be every day." example. You can "observe" Rodgers giving his best every day just as much as you can observe him intentionally tanking.

You're applying your own experiences to someone you've never met and who you can't talk to and whose mind you can't get into and making extreme assumptions about his motivations. That's not to say they're inaccurate, just that it might be prudent to be real and admit that just maybe, it's your own opinion.

Also, I really liked Callahan, but let's be real. There's a big difference between coaching a QB brand new to the NFL and getting him used to NFL offenses, reading defenses, and otherwise adjusting to a whole new level, and coaching a QB that's been around for years. And just because they looked good in the preseason doesn't mean they will (or will not) do anything at all in the NFL, ever.

But, I didn't watch or know of anything that Lacy ate between 2014 and 2015; but I can tell you with 100% certainty that he ate too much.

I'm not sure of your point about the difference between Callahan and Rodgers. The things Callahan improved at are the very things that Rodgers has degraded at. It all about fundamentals on how to throw, keep balance, maintain ball security, when and how to run/scramble, read Ds, throw with anticipation, having play slow down, etc. Look at Flynn too. I dont know if the QB stuff being taught by Mike and his staff makes a guy a great QB; but it surely prepares one to play in his offense. Any complaint by Rodgers that good QB coaching for GB's system has not been available in GB for the last several years is ridiculous.

Like Montana and Brady, Rodgers absolutely was not a top 5 pick. But, between 2007 and 2011 he took that talent he had, worked his ass off physically and mentally and absolutely maximized his QB skill. I tell you this with 100% certainty though I didn't speak with Rodgers or attend a single practice or meeting.

Last year Nerd and I were lone wolves purportedly howling at the moon that Rodgers is tanking. Can anyone say Gunter tanked it? Of course not, because he trying his damned best from what we can tell. I have not attended a single meeting, spoke with Rodgers, Olivia or his therapist [he freakin' needs one]; but, like Lacy's eating, I can unequivocally tell you Rodgers is indulging a destructive mindset and he's not letting go of it. Much the same way Lacy growls when someone tries to remove a full prime rib from Lacy's hands. That is intentional!

We didn't see it as much this game, so perhaps it's a moot point now, but as someone who has lived with a gimpy ankle for most of my adult life, I found dhazer's suggestion intriguing. It's been almost a decade and a half since I hurt my ankle, yet there are still times—unpredictable, but debilitating—when my ankle flares up. A couple months ago I was trying to play baseball with my sons, and I just couldn't plant my foot. Every time I went to catch or pitch or swing the bat, a stabbing pain went up my leg and I had to grit my teeth to keep from howling. If Rodgers is experiencing an issue like this, it would be totally understandable if he's finding it difficult to plant his foot.

Personally, although I wouldn't rule it out entirely, I don't think that's the main issue here. It strikes me as mostly a psychological issue: Maybe Rodgers has gotten scared of getting hit; maybe he's finally developed the case of yips I'd been dreading through all those seasons where he got plastered play after play; maybe he's just trying to do too much with too little. Maybe it's all of the above. Whatever it is, I'd be truly surprised if it doesn't get fixed sooner or later.
