Dom has arguably been doing it with smoke and mirrors. He's got two OLBs who are more run stuffers than pass rushers, and a thin D line. We've also gone up against a string of teams who were without their stud RBs. Sure, we held a struggling (and declining?) Apete for 1.5 quarters. But overall, we've been lucky.

Still, they've been convincing at times.

Today they get Pennell back, so that will provide a huge boost on the Dline. It's just that I feel like we've been in this position before. Whenever Dom's units start showing really good stats or doing something well, they always return to earth in embarrassing fashion. (They also do so in the playoffs.)

So how will they look today? It would be nice if your passing offense could get us out to a strong lead, so the 'Gurlz would have to starting throwing it. Dom can get after young QBs. But with Aaron on the decline, I'm not banking on that. The game could come down to the irresistible force and the immovable object.

PREDICTION: Our run D will be exposed. I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't have confidence, having watched Dom's units all these years.

Packers give up ~110 yards, 40 of that to the QB.

The Cowboys will probably run the ball 30-40 times today between Zeke, Dak and whoever.

To think The Packers can keep up their 2.0 yds per carry is a little unrealistic.

I say The Cowboys will average 3.3 yds per carry.

Which will put them 100-120yd range.

That doesn't mean The Packers D will be exposed

Numbers sometime lie.

That is except the only numbers that count.

THE FINAL SCORE!

I think the Packers run defense will not hold up... but not because they "got exposed"... hell last week the Packers put extra pressure on the defensive front as they kept everyone back to help out the young DBs and protect them, which put the extra pressure on the defensive front and they did great.

The Packers run defense is going to have one of their worse days simply because they're facing one of the top 5 OLs in the NFL (if not the top), so they're probably going to give up more yards than any other game by those two facts alone. Not to mention, facing clearly the best RB that they have seen all season (and maybe one of the best RBs in the NFL), and a QB who can run.

The Packers defense has a choice in how they want to play their ILB and vet S... help the DBs or help the defensive front. Also maybe the choice if they want to use the 3-4 scheme or not with Pennel back (they're been avoiding the 3-4 scheme).

But the Packers have CBs problems but so do the Cowboys... they only have 4 CBs on their roster and the slot CB is inactive (and Packers have penalty of slot WRs) so their should be some sort of match-up for the Packers there.

I think the Packers are going to need to use the ILBers and S to focus on the run defense to stop the Cowboys running game and leave the CBs on their own. I'm not sure if the coaches trust the CBs enough at this point to try that.
