I always want BPA in the first round because you need a game changer.

Saying that, my preferred pick hasn't been BPA, but Christian McCaffrey. The stress a Montgomery-type player puts on a defense was apparent this year so I say double up on it. Then keep both guys fresh, protect your scheme if one gets injured, etc..

Our RG is currently Don Barclay and we have no real back up G or C, Montgomery and Don Jackson are our RBs, our OLB are Clay Matthews (should get moved to ILB) Jayrone Elliot and Kyler Fackrell and Lane Taylor, Davante Adams, Corey Linsley are FA next year.

How about we just stop using Nickel defense in every damn situation when DBs aren't our teams strength. We used to match personnel more on defense, now we pretty much just play nickel no matter what.

Drafting 7 DBs just means at least 3 or 4 of your draft picks probably won't make the team it also guarantees our interior OL and OLB depth will be nothing the next couple seasons and significantly hurts us at skill positions on offense (remember how they "made it work" in 2015 and half of 2016? Not so well.

I love Don Jackson, but Lacy's out there too. If someone drops, cool but focus on OLB and DB. I like Fackrell, but he needs to prove he can take that step.

I guess you have to go BPA. I'm just tired of them ending up with OK to mediocre defensive linemen in the first round.
