Ted has no control over signing Perry, Lang or Tretter. I think me and Ted are taking the 3rd round pick instead of paying over 10M per on Perry. We’ll get a 4th for Lang or Tretter; heck maybe for both. Now the problem is Ted cant sign UFAs with expiring contracts; because it will eat away his 2018 comp picks.

Over the next month, the folly of the other 31 GMs will be exposed. This is our time to dream. This is when the UFAs are created that most matter to Ted. Ted has always been aggressive in Free agency, given the $$$ he has left over after signing his own guys, so many just don’t get this. If he cant sign his own, he’s going to use that 35M to sign this type of released UFAs . Here some guys I got my eyes on:

Connor Barwin will be cut.

His production dropped in 2016; but Eagles changed to 4-3 and Barwin shifted from 3-4 OLB to playing 3-4 DE.

He’s already transitioned pretty successfully as a UFA moving from HTN to Philly, it took him 2 years to really get going. 3 year 5M per should land him.

Mario Williams signed a 2 yr 17m deal last year with Phins. He’ll get less this year. He didn’t play well in 2015 and really sucked in 2016. If he has something left in the tank like to see him for 1 year 4Mish deal, lose some weight and play OLB. On passing downs he could move inside with the 6’7 frame. He’s always been a real crappy teams, he needs to come to a winner. It will also prop his attitude

Deandre Levy a 1 year deal for 2-3 million might be worth the risk even if he never regains his form, a little small for the outside, he’d have to play inside. This is great great player if he returns to form.

Kyle Fuller-wants out. Love to swing a trade with Bears; but they’ll never trade him to GB, unless Ted offers 1 full round draft pick higher. If they cut him don’t think he makes it thru waivers to us.

Joe Haden’s a little small; but he’s the only CB I see that could be a significant upgrade over the youngsters we got; though he wouldn’t have been an upgrade with his play over last 2 years. For 2 yrs 5M per, I take the chance that Whitt will work a miracle.

Jimmy Graham will be cut, if he don’t reneg. Don’t want him. Okay maybe for 1 yr at the absolute min. and no one else is available like Perillo.

Julius Thomas is a much better TE, 1 year deal for 3-4M, lined up across from Cook. Then let him sign big again next year with some other dumbass GM and get a Comp 4th in 2019.

Tramon Williams got released and rumor has it Devon House could be released as well.

Also Justin Gilbert is a cut FA... he had a ton of athletic talent but hasn't been able to do much with in in the NFL... former teammate OT Joe Thomas suggested it's because he doesn't love football. But the Packers CB has gotten some good stuff out of athletic players, and if he's willing to sign for minimum, he might be worth taking a lot at in training camp.

Another Ted talk but in the opposite direction...The wrong direction. I'm sorry but this stuff is annoying and grating to me.

Nothing to discuss. Ted has, is, and will do nothing but the right thing over and over. So, if Ted is perfection, but our D still sucks who is to blame? Dom? But, but, our HC says Dom is a great coach.

Every time we try discussing the flaws nobody is to blame. Can't be Dom because MM says otherwise, and it isn't MM, because Ted loves him. A huge circular buddy club one protecting the other.

Why even discuss FAs from other teams? It's just not what we do. To talk of it with any expectation is to realize we need a new GM, but most don't think we do. It would be nice to be able to really expect something like the other 31 teams but we are forced to live in bizarro world as Packers fans.

Oh, I like Levy but realize we only get him if no one else wants him. What we do is ALWAYS dependent on what other teams do. We never ever lead...We just pick up scraps here and there that no one else wants

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : Micah pulling a Myles with trade request

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : if PH dies, there is packerpeople com available
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : database is on new host, eventually website will follow
Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
