http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21109721/aaron-rodgers-green-bay-packers-able-return-late-season

--- Hundley has to lead to 2-3 wins...if he can't, it's a major mark against the org.

I think he can do it. Can't wait for this one.

EDIT:. @RapSheet says Packers do NOT believe he'll be back this season due to a "significant break".

My take? I believe the org wants Hundley and team to be focused on right now and not peek ahead to 12's return so they're severely downplaying possibility of his return.

Unfortunately, these two stories may not be contradictory.

He can be throwing in 6 weeks but still be a long ways away from being able to risk taking a hit in the NFL.

Aaron's season is done. As much as he, the organization and the fan base want him to return this year and lead them to a SB victory it just won't happen.
My daughter in law is a PA. She works for a surgeon so she knows a thing or two about the healing process. She thinks he could be ready in 8 weeks. I told her there is a difference between the average person and a professional. The body may well heal up in 6-8 weeks. Then there is rehab and getting strength and flexibility back and then Aaron needs to get back into football shape. There just isn't enough time to do it all. Even if he can do all of that it will still take more time to get back to the level of an elite that he is.

I think the people who think Aaron is definitely done are just not trying to get their hopes up. There is plenty of reason to believe Aaron will be back this year.

A tweeter quoted the Chargers former team doc's article on Aaron's injury and said key would is COULD as in COULD return this season. Here was his reply...

True, but read the article & see plenty of precedent for 6 week return to full football. Realistic. Of course @packers may be out by then.

Nobody knows anything for sure in this world. The Chargers doc returned a RB with a broken collarbone to the field in 6 weeks. Why in the world would make anyone think it not possible for Aaron to play again? He was out 7 weeks and knocked out the Bears in Chicago. Personally, again, I think the org is severely downplaying talk of return to help Hundley and keep focus on right now not what if on Aaron. I believe Aaron will be back. I see no reason to think otherwise. Surgery speeds the healing process and he healed in 7 weeks without it last time.

Here's a good read from the former Chargers doctor:
