In theory I like it, but I'd argue we got only young guys on the 53 already that we're not really using in Davis and Allison, so we can get the young WR reps without bringing anyone up.

Of course... if you're thinking about trying to use him (6'6") as a TE, then that might be different as there is a wide open there for young guys, but I'm not sure he has the weight nor strength for real TE. Also bringing him up now, might make him harder to get the PS next year (if he's still not ready for the 53 man roster then).

I'm guessing they'll move up FB Kerridge (not what I want, but what I'm guessing they'll do), who I thought was a better pure power blocker than Rip... also I'd like to see them get Rip more involved, unless they don't trust him with the ball. Flex him out to TE or RB some... maybe on 3rd and short we could see Rip as a RB with Kerridge as the FB. We need something to work for 3rd and short, and this could help the running game, which hopefully will help the passing game.

I like Kerridge, but until/unless we move on from Rip I am not sure what he offers us from the current status quo. I am extremely disappointed how little we have used Rip this year, I just don't see what we would actually gain by having them both up on the 53. Why not just have Rip pretend to be a blocking TE?

Of the practice squad guys I would like to see Clark up as to be honest he has a bit of boom potential. Max wouldn't be bad either as he and Brett did click.

Clark is definitely too thin to be a TE. I think he is thinner than Jimmy Graham and that dude can't block at all. I just think he is a kid with a bunch of potential and the more exposure we can give him the better. I really hope he is not still only a PS prospect next year.

We all hope to see players develop into their full potential quickly, but it has taken some guys 3 years to fully develop (including Nelson)... so it's no knock... but Clark college film, did like the least developed WRs that I remember the Packers ever bringing it, but a whole lot of raw talent, I was just thinking it might take longer to develop him.

Also I thought he only had 1 year each playing HS, college and Pros. But looks like he practiced while sitting out a transfer year so he's played the last 3 years (then you have to go all the way back to freshmen year of high school). But I feel better with 3 years than 2 for some reason.

I totally agree and concur, my fear is losing this kid. You can't teach size and the kid seems to have pretty good hands. He is raw, but I just have this good feeling about him I can't shake. I hope I am not wrong.

Ya ... probably has to do with his statement about wanting to retire when the packers what signed him for 3 years and wanted a good TE for 3 years. Maybe the packers were pissed and then looked for a way out to get some or most of their money back and ya that would be a way.

Just like insurance companies do in the states if they have pre-existing condition clauses or other clauses - the reason they do is they dont want to pay.
