Dan has the edge over Montravius. Montravius needs to prove he can get it done at this level.

Also normally DTs suck as rookies... even when they get their entire training camp work (which DT Adams didn't)... In a limited pass rusher role, I think Adams has the potential to really break out.

Also think Adams will be used more for the interior gaps (0-3) and Lower for the more exterior gaps (3-5), but that's a pure guess.

I like this move. Not on the hook for a long term contract if he doesn't work out. Only down side I can see is if he proves valuable and wants a big payday to stay beyond this season.

We have been inconsistent up front on defense - maybe this will bring some consistent pressure and help the back end. Would be nice to see opposing QBs running in fear rather than standing in the pocket all day without worry.

Yeah I understand we won't really know until Week 1. It's just a question to kill time.
Technically Daniels and Adams will line up tighter as DT and Lowry a little further out as a DE.

I think we will learn in training camp and during the season... but based off what the new DC said, I'm expecting to see Matthews, Biegel and Fackrell in a more versatile OLB role where they might pass rush or they might drop into coverage... trying to make the OL and offense guess more often. Which honestly I think Fackrell needs... to be a semi-surprise edge rusher because he's in coverage a good bit too.
