was different with driver ya? they offered him a 'respectable contract toward the end. And ya he got less playing time etc but to be honest still played well. As was suggested the contract offered to the best rodgers/receiver was not a respectable contract (least from what we know).

I guess it depends on what is considered “respectable”.
Will Nelson live up to his somewhat large payday in Oakland? We will see.
Either way, tough decisions have to be made by a pro GM.
They aren’t always “loved” decisions by us fans. But the GM has to do what he feels is in the best interests of the team.
There is just so much money, and he has to make decisions with his head, and not his heart. (As we fans do with our hearts often times)

37 year old Donald Driver's last contract was 1 year $2.3 million.
32 year old Jordy Nelson, who was reportedly offered just above the 10 year veteran minimum of $1.015 million.

I don't know what our cap space was in 2012, nor the core roster, which these things play into it as well.

This Jordy to Driver comparison is bad because Driver was 5th best receiver, with the starting QB playing, before lowering his contact... while Nelson was #2 with the starting QB playing.

There is being negative (and I get slapped with that) and then there is being negative before a guy plays a f'ing snap with the team. Wow...

The history of graham crackers is pretty interesting. They were more or less invented to be as tasteless and unappealing as possible. Dr. Graham thought a bland, uninteresting diet would lead to temperance and self-control. Obviously, given the fact that graham crackers these days are almost as sweet as cookies, people didn't put too much stock in his quaint theories.
