Dude’s measurables were comparable to Clay Matthews. And as far as his performance at Wisconsin, it was on par with Watt. Dude is Frank Zombo at a minimum.

He was NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Won the Butkus Award. 3 time All Pro (1st and 2nd team) and 6 time Pro Bowl.

JJ Watt has an even more impressive record.

Drafted 11th overall in the 1st round.

4× Pro Bowl (2012–2015)
4× First-team All-Pro (2012–2015)
Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year (2017)
Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year (2017)
3× NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2012, 2014, 2015)
Bert Bell Award (2014)
2× NFL sacks leader (2012, 2015)
Lott Trophy (2010)
First-team All-American (2010)
First-team All-Big Ten (2010)

Historically 4th round picks are happy to make the team. Any team little alone a team that is consistently competing for a SB. Look I don't care if Biegal is as tall or as fast or as strong as Clay of JJ. He may have a solid career. I hope so. He is a long long way from being mentioned as their equals.

BTW, I love how you back peddle from Watt all the way down to Zombo's level. That's awesome. I will readily accept that he is probably Zombo's equal. Maybe. That's a chasm wider and deeper than the Grand Canyon.

Dude’s college stats compare favorably with both TJ Watt and Clay Matthews. For people who actually watched him play, we will note that he looked to be the equal of Watt, both before Watt’s arrival and afterwards. This is why people were questioning whether we should take Watt.

Biegel fell because of the foot injury. And let’s also recall that he came back too soon from that injury, because Wisconsin needed him. So yeah, 16 tackles. In a rookie year where he missed the entire training camp and was held out most of the hear by Dom, who hates first year players.

Like I said, he’s got a high floor, imo. Maybe we can get a Bruce Paup out of him.

Looky here, a he’s got a bloodline and some accomplishments.

This two-time all-conference pick came from a football family. His father, Rocky, played linebacker at BYU while his uncle T.D. was a fullback for the Cougars. Vince's grandfather, Ken, played Division III ball and was a Wisconsin and national high school hall of fame coach. Coming from that lineage, it was no surprise Vince was the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior (172 tackles, 21 sacks) and earned a scholarship to play for the Badgers. A foot injury ended his freshman season after two games, but he came on late the following year to start twice (25 tackles, three for loss, two sacks). Biegel led the Badgers with 16.5 tackles for loss (7.5 sacks) as a starter in 2014, and earned third-team All-Big Ten notice with 66 stops, 14 for loss, and eight sacks as a junior. Despite being limited for multiple games, missing two, with a broken foot, Biegel was a second-team All-Big Ten performer in 2016 (six TFL, four sacks).

Also, voted team captain.

I mean, is this all about Ted hate? Hate Ted all you want, that was a great draft. I mean, second and third team player!? Check out some Badger games, man.

Somewhere between Ricky Elmore and Frank Zombo sounds about right. Although I'll be surprised if he ends up as good as Zombo.

No I don't hate Uncle T. And I never implied that Biegal didn't have family who played football too. But as good as his family's history is, it's not equal to CM3. Not that it matters because what your grandpappy or uncle did doesn't mean you will too.

Also I have said before, I hope he does preform well. I don't see him putting up huge DPOTY numbers like you are suggesting.

Let’s not put Biegel in the dog house before he really gets a chance to show what he’s got.
He’s had a ruff start to his career.
I think once they llet him off the leash, Biegel will hunt down the quarterback.

Let's remember that Davante had it pretty rough due to injuries and playing through them as a rookie. Let the guy get healthy and see what he can do. I do remember him making a good goal line stuff that had me impressed.

EVERY Packer draft pick EVERY year must show Pro-Bowl ability or he will be labeled a bust by some.

In today's NFL, any rookie who gets injured early in the preseason has a very small chance of making any contribution.

There is so little time for coaches to get the team ready for the regular season, an injured rookie is going to be left behind.

Biegal is not Watt
Biegal is not Mathews

He doesn't have to be!

He stays healthy, he will show he is plenty good to help the team.

I said I hope he preforms well.

My only objection is when people compare him to Clay and JJ. Compare him to Elmore, Zombo even Paup (That may even be a reach). I have no problem whatsoever.
