Realiety? Yes that's what I said.

Sundays comeback win against the Bears certainly deserves high praise. It was a thrilling victory pulled from the jaws of defeat and was most exciting to watch. Yet as we praise a victory, let us not loose our grip on reality.

The reality however is that GB must next face the Vikings who are far better than the Bears and will be better tougher all around to beat. Sloppy play against the Vikings will most likely translate into Viking points scored.

In addition, Rodgers (if he plays) will be limited with the injury to his left leg. GB's linebackers will have to show up for the Vikings and not just mail a performance so they can admire their long blond hair in a mirror and be in commercials.

IMO, Clay Matthews has gone from being a great asset to now being a great liability. GB would be better off trading him as soon as possible before his value diminishes further. Yes he is very strong, but he does not have the foot speed that once made him elite. A trade with a team like Buffalo could get GB valuable draft pick/s in the 2019 Draft.

Sitting high with a win always feels great, but the fall of a loss becomes even more telling. GB will need to play much better if they hope to defeat a Vikings team that beat a good 49er team on Sunday.

In actuality, how much you want to bet that Clay is voted team captain on defense hah. Harrison Smith will destroy us barring a miracle.

The Niners aren't better on paper than the Packers and they more than held their own against the Vikings at Minnesota yesterday. I'm not saying the Vikings aren't good, but I'm not gonna make them out to be this super team.

I’ve noticed the same about Clay, and I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to what you said about trading him. My only concern is that we don’t have anybody that’s better than him at rushing the passer to replace him. I think parting ways with Matthews would hurt us as a team for this year. OLB/DE pass rusher should be a top priority in next year’s draft. Along with OLine- specifically the guard position as long as Bulaga’s health holds up (fingers crossed).

Id say the bears D did pretty good compared to the viks the 1st 1/2. Now the vikes O is much better ie their QB cousins.

I agree I would like a much more mobile rodgers. Oh I watched the SF/MN game - not sure if you guys noticed but I think garapollo (however its spelled) cared more about how his hair looked then playing the game; he kept smoothing it back etc etc ... no wonder he didnt play so well.

1st, at 25 years old, Reggie Gilbert has the size and should be ready to play at least as well as the 32 year old Matthews or even better.

2nd, GB (with Rodgers) pulled it together in the 2nd half against the Bears. However following the game Rodgers L.Knee swelled up. I've had that happen to me as well. It tells me that fluid swelled up his knee. Yes that can be drained, but something triggered his knee to swell up with fluid. I do not expect to see Rodgers vs the Vikings. I suspect he has deep muscle bruising and it would slow his mobility to such a level that it would be dangerous for him to play until the Bills game on Sept. 30.

Finally, while it' great to be a loyal Packer fan, grading every aspect of any team with rose colored glasses refuses to see the different flaws that all teams have to deal with. IMO, GB's greatest weakness is the entire LB core (except for Martinez). It's why they played more CBs and Safeties in the 2nd half against the Bears. Matthews and Perry just aren't getting it done with the pass rush.
