This made me laugh out loud. Brightened a sucky day for me, so thanks for that.

I don't think Rodgers was trying to get McCarthy fired. His level of play also wasn't dramatically different this week -- he still demonstrated a tendency to hold on to the ball when opportunities for quick strikes presented themselves. But there did seem to be more pep in his step week, which made it hard not to think there wasn't at least some degree of relief that he was out from under the authority of McCarthy.

Of course, it was just one week. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out, while we hope for better things to come next year.

You think that firing the head coach made Rodgers think that even he is not untouchable? Interesting. I'd like to think you're right

I think maybe if the board of directors would get involved, start firing from the top down, then maybe Aaron would not be so comfortable.

Fire mark Murphy, go from there!!!

1. The Board isn't going to get involved with THIS hiring decision...so it will be Murphy and Gutey...we just need to deal with it.

2. I am guessing that beginning last year, many Board Members had voiced their dissatisfaction at what they were seeing. I would bet they have been putting pressure on Murphy to do something. Perhaps that is why we have seen more "house-cleaning" in the last 16 months than we have in 15 years with McCarthy, Thompson, and Capers all gone.

3. Just a baseball GM's get only so many Managers to fire, I am guessing this choice will be very important to Murphy's career.

4. So now that DePhillippo isn't a 2:1 favorite...who do you want?
- McDaniels - N.E.
- Carmichael - N.O.
- Philbin
- Riley - OK (a horrible choice in my book)
- Pettine (my choice)

Vikings abandoned the run like no other team all season -- do we really want their OC?

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

BPF I was not Implying that you said The board was going to get involved. I simply stated they are not going to fire Murphy at this point.

I am agreeing with you that if he does not make a good coaching selection he will be gone.

Let’s not forget that the early returns Pettine and Gutey are good, so lets give credit when due

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe

beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
