Why are we enamored with Nassir Adderly? Because of the last name?

Also, I believe Brian G is going to trade back. He said he's fielded several offers already about trading. I am going to assume it is trading back and wouldn't be surprised if he does just that. I just don't think we're picking at number 12 Thursday.

Strengths
effortless hip swivel when tracking receivers downfield;
has the requisite range to cover sideline to sideline in single-high looks;
a high motor prospect who brings competitiveness and intensity;
solid ball skills with the ability to high-point the football;
impressive reactive athleticism and closing quickness;
relentless in tracking runners at the line of scrimmage;
can literally bull rush blocking receivers to get to the ball-carrier;
has the versatility to play both coverage and box safety;
not afraid to mix things up physically;
a potential weapon on special teams;
boasts immense experience as a four-year starter in college.
Weaknesses
inconsistent read and react skills in downfield coverage;
tends to bite on where quarterback’s eyes go to at the onset of plays;
can take inefficient pursuit angles when attacking runners;
too often concedes yards after contact when wrapping opponents up;
needs to learn better technique when tackling in the open field;
obvious concerns over the level of competition he faced during college career.

I Think Gutey will trade down also, doesn't change my picks, just where they are picked.

If your going to bust a gut if you don't make a trade, then play with the 6th to 7th round picks. They usually don't rend the best players anyway. 😁

Frankly, I agree with his assessment that the Oline is the biggest need....it's nice to here someone else saying it.

First and foremost, he's a safety and they NEED another safety. He's a Day 2 pick so he's "cheaper" than going for fated ahead of him. (Kinda like getting a sleeper if you can call Day 2 players "sleepers". He has decent size, adequate speed. He like to hit. He plays the run well.

Here's a summary from Walter: Nasir Adderley, S, Delaware

Height: 5-11. Weight: 206. Arm: 30.75. Hand: 8.88.
Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Projected Round (2019): 2-3.
4/20/19: Adderley has impressed evaluators, and some teams have him graded higher over more high-profile safeties. Adderley racked up nine interceptions over the past two seasons, and he improved his tackle production every year over the past three seasons. Scouts say that Adderley is a true free safety with good range downfield and makes plays on the ball. They say that Adderley plays hard, runs around and smacks people, but he has a cornerback build, so he should get stronger to tackle in the NFL. He had a good week of practice at the Senior Bowl. Adderley did not work out at the combine.

Gute said teams have inquired about the 12th overall pick. Rumors now that Redskins trying to move into top five. I'm thinking if Redskins guy they target is there at 12, they pull the trigger with us and trade up. Hypothetically speaking, what do you think we'd get for 12th pick from Redskins?

It's close to the same value. Washington has to pay something for the convenience factor of getting a player they really want. They also have the 96th pick which is at the end of the 3rd round and only "worth" 116 points. Washington doesn't own a 4th round pick at this time.

With the handy dandy draft pick trade value chart , I think a potential trade with the Redskins would look like:

Packers receive picks #15, #76 and #96
Redskins receive picks #12 and #114

Since the Redskins are moving up Gutey makes them pay the price with their 3rd rounder and greases the wheels by swapping the Redskins comp pick and a 4th rounder, giving the Packers 5 picks in the top 100.

Edit: wpr and I had the same idea (great minds think alike) but for some reason the PFF link had the Redskins comp pick as a fourth rounder. So I've edited my post to reflect new info.

Oh, nevermind.😂😂😂
There are 4 or 5 CB's who are going to go starting at the bottom of the 1st rnd to mid 2nd rnd.
Adderley will be in that group,( listed as a CB/S).
I just think The Packers are going to grab him if he is available.

I'm glad I have hip waders as the $#*! is getting deep in here.

First, Gute got Madison to return and hired Billy Turner, resolving the OL problem. Making the OL no longer a position in need.

Second, trading GB's first 3 picks to get more lower quality players is beyond insane. The object is to add quality of the team, not to see how many average players can be accumulated. I'm so glad that none of you have anything to do with who GB drafts.

So many of you remind me of the monkey that put his hand through a tight hole in a coconut to grab a sweet snack from within. After grabbing the sweets his hand was too big to remove from the coconut. The coconut having been securely attached to a tree, trapped the greedy monkey as he refused to let go of the sweets. A native came along and killed the animal for his family diner. The point here is it is better to be satisfied with what you have and not let greed trap you in a less desirable position.

GB's greatest need at this time is for a TE. Most of the knowledgeable sports writers/commentators agree on this point. Following that, use the #30 pick to grab the best player available for either the Safety or the DE. Filling need with the best draft available player.

I'll be happy if the Packers get a good TE. The rest of the picks are not as important.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
