Aaron Rodgers' relationship with his coaches has been a topic for years, so it's a good sign that Matt LaFleur is willing to listen. With receiving options dropping like flies, and well, dropping, the Packers quarterback went to the staff last night to specifically ask for Allen Lazard to get a chance. Lazard responded with [more]

Many will take this as Rodgers trying to undermine the coach. But I love it.

I didn’t read the whole article, but I remember seeing Rodgers tell people in the interview that he went to the WR coach and asked for him to be put in the game. And apparently Lazard told Aaron what route he wanted to run. That’s pretty cool. You could see that he was playing with a lot of confidence when he stayed in bounds over by the sideline to try & run over the CB. Hopefully Lazard can keep this up.

Did you see his play Lazards that is ... going to have to start calling him lizard ...

He played angry - But hey he played well so who cares. That long pass which he caught; no idea how he caught that was like off the back shoulder with the defender riding him.

Like this guy.

Gotta love not only the confidence but the fact he backed it up. You want guys that bring it on game day vs. those that you hardly know they are out there. Some just play better than they practice. Too early to be sure but it looks like he could be one of those.

The kid is going to get another shot this Sunday....I hope he plays with the same intensity as a starter as he did coming off the bench.

Sometimes its easier to come in off the bench when you don't have the chance to get nervous.
