I am pretty relaxed this year but I do expect a big year from Aaron next year. I think 3 years sitting and one year playing is enough to now expect him to play like a top teir QB

amen - couldn't have said it better myself, stu! i'm expecting ALOT more from the entire packers organization from the top down next season!!

Well I still think the extension was poorly timed regardless of how the season unfolded. I think the vibe through the locker room was a bit divided after that.

How would extending Rodgers affect the vibe in the locker room?

Good question. I don't get it at all. I find it hard to believe that Rodgers' teammates would have a problem with him getting a contract extension. I've heard nothing but respect from them when discussing Rodgers. Like it or not, he is the franchise QB now, and franchise QB's get big contracts. They are the most valuable players in the NFL.

I wish I could respond but I am really sick today. I think I might have been trying to make some convoluted connection between the lack of trust between the veterans and younger players. Who knows...

I'll help you Dark even though i posted this already in the turning point thread.

The players could be upset that they busted there butt for a few years but didn't get the extension so they might not give that little extra effort, remember Jennings turned down contract talks the day before and said wait till the end of the season to discuss the contract don't want to distract the team.
You want to see the rest of my post goto that thread.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Dont want this lost since that thread was locked

listen to it

Favre in 92 career games, where his teams were trailing 8 points or fewer with 5 minutes or less.

23- 69 record

Started off 6-22

LAST time Packers had a losing season in 05

HE WENT 0-11 IN THOSE CASES

People (at times myself included) have Favre selective memory. Meaning we only remember when he was "on". The truth is that in these situations most of the time he wasn't "on".

None of them ever were. Elway was "on" less than he was off, same as Brett, same as every QB, ever. Because it's not possible. It's damn hard to carve up an NFL defense in the first place, let alone when you've got almost no time or TOs to do it in, and the defense in question knows exactly what you're going to try to do.

Well one thing just occurred to me

How many years was Brett in the league last year? compared to how many for Rodgers?

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
