Bears already preparing to replace Matt Nagy?
November 5, 2021by Darryn Albert

Matt Nagy’s fourth season in Chicago could very well end up being his last.

NFL insider Benjamin Allbright appeared Friday on “Sports Talk Chicago” with Jon Zaghloul and said that he “100 percent” thinks that the Bears head coach Nagy will be gone by the end of the year.

“From my conversations with people, the [Bears] have already started doing backgrounds on potential replacements,” added Allbright.

Allbright also mentioned Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll specifically as “the leader in the clubhouse” to replace Nagy.

After leading Chicago to 12 wins and a division title in 2018, Nagy has fallen on some rough times. The Bears have not had a winning season since then and are now floundering in 2021 with a record of 3-5.

Nagy has come under fire this season on everything from botching Justin Fields’ development to his handling of the media. At this point, very few would be surprised if he ultimately gets sent packing.

That too bad....we have a great record against him

Honestly I'm surprised they weren't released last year...

And really their entire thing is they have just completely failed with the o-line, they're scheme early on what's basically have every play to have three different directions you could be run... And oftentimes players would focus on the top two and they would run the third... Catching everyone off guard but that's basically a gimmick... After a while everyone's going to catch on to that gimmick.

They just never solidified the line to get the rest of the offensive chance... And that's a bit of what we're seeing with the Chiefs after they lost both their very good offensive tackles last year and try to replace them this year.

It's sort of amazes me, that with how smart some of these football people are they overlook some of the darnest simple things... such as Non-mobile QB plus poor OL equals failure...

I still can't freaking believe that when Eli Manning was the QB for the Giants that they did not invest in their own line other than like one first round pick who was a poor selection... Eli's not the very mobile give him protection he could do some damage... I'm not saying he's a top 10 QB, but with the o lines he had there at the end, he wasn't freaking giving a chance...

Same with the Bears offense...

And Russell Wilson's mobility is the only reason why the Seahawks offensive line protection has worked some years

Beast, great post.

Re Fields, I think the kid can be pretty good, but Nagy’s offense, and their line doesn't help him.

He missed a home run ball against us, but in the games I have watched the kid looks pretty good.

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent

Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
