That Beebe TD was a vintage Favre play. I remember that game vividly. The 49ers clearly had that game circled on their schedule as payback for the divisional round upset from 95 and it was an absolute war of a game. Robert Brooks immediately went down with a season ending ACL injury and the team didn't do anything in the first half. When me and my dad went to bed we weren't optimistic. Woke up to my alarm the next morning with a recap of Green Bay winning and Don Beebe with over 200 yards receiving?! You mean that guy we got from the Panthers?! Dad and me watched the VHS recording of the rest of the game on Monday night (how quaint in retrospect) and couldn't believe how the game turned out.

Yeah, those were the "bad old days" but us old timers stuck with the Packers through thick and thin.
Thankfully there was no worldwide or "social platforms" to mess with our minds, just the MJS and social hour at the gas station to soothe our troubled souls.
