SIS used their Total Points metric to calculate the most valuable rookies of this past regular season Sports Info Solutions, a data company that works with teams and sportsbooks, has announced their All-Rookie Team for the 2021 season , which includes Green Bay Packers cornerback Eric Stokes. SIS’s criteria is essentially a list of their highest-ranking players in their Total Points metric, which Football Outsiders describes below :
Total Points takes the common currency of EPA and distributes the value gained or lost on a play to the different players involved based on their impact on the play.
Stokes’ 30 “Total Points” ranked third among rookie defensive backs, only behind Denver’s Patrick Surtain II and Los Angeles’ Asante Samuel Jr. For reference, Surtain was selected ninth overall, meaning only Samuel was on the board when the Stokes pick was made and also performed better than Stokes, at least per this metric, in 2021.
To say the least, the early returns on the first-round pick are good. Stokes has started every single game since Week 3 of the regular season and has played 40 or more snaps per game, usually over 60, since Week 2.
Here’s what SIS had to say about Stokes:

Georgia’s defense in the 2021 season was outstanding, but it had a lot of great players leave and enter the 2021 Draft. The first Georgia player off the board in the 2021 Draft was Stokes, at pick 29.
Stokes played the 2nd most snaps of any rookie corner in 2021 and held his own all year. Seeing the 2nd-most targets in all of the league, Stokes racked up the 7th-lowest completion % against, 7th-most passes defensed, and 17th=best Passer Rating Against (minimum 25 targets).

The Packers also had a Second-Team All-Rookie player in guard Royce Newman, who was benched in Week 18 when Josh Myers returned to center and Lucas Patrick was pushed to right guard. Newman’s Total Points of 29 was tied for the second-best mark among guards (behind the Chiefs’ Trey Smith) and ranked him fourth among all offensive linemen behind Chargers tackle Rashawn Slater and Chiefs center Creed Humphrey. Only Trey Smith, who was picked in the sixth round after injury concerns, recorded more “total points” than Newman after being drafted behind the Ole Miss product.

Stokes got thrown into the fire and did more than hold his own. Nice to see that some of our 1st rounders have been panning out over the past few years. Also a good showing for Newman. He looked over his head early this season but I feel like in the 2nd half of the season he played really well. A year of offseason workouts should do him a lot of good.

A rookie that steps in and plays like a veteran is rare. I’m glad he’s on OUR side! He’s done a heck of a job!😁

Stokes accolade is well deserved. On the flip side ESPN  did one. He was not mentioned in the 4 CBs. It makes you wonder.

They have:
7. Pat Surtain II,
Just missed: Nate Hobbs, CB, Las Vegas Raiders and Greg Newsome II, CB, Cleveland Browns.
Keep an eye on: Asante Samuel Jr., CB, Chargers.

Seems they don't realize what a job he has done this year. They look at the few tds given up and act like he cost them the game.

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin

dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
Zero2Cool (29-Jul) : Sure seems site going down more than 50¢ hooker
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : Golden with two TDs in red zone drills today
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : @JacobMorley Shoutout to Quinn Ewers for allowing Matthew Golden to be available when Green Bay picked.
Zero2Cool (27-Jul) : The menu you expanded to log in, it's the first icon under "PackersHome" .. maybe i should add text to it
