Some guys really do not have to work hard at training camp.

In fact they would have to try hard to get cut. They can relax and take time to smell the roses.

Donald Lee can be about as comfortable as he ever has been or will be. He will enjoy a relaxing training camp.

This year is a cake walk for Aaron Rodgers compared to last season. I'm sure he is more comfortable.

Cullen Jenkins' only competition is part timer Justin Harrell. He has no training camp worries either.

Mason Crosby gets a kick out of it.

None of them are under the microscope the way Brady Poppinga is.

Such years are rare so if they enjoy this one don't worry. They will get to sweat a future one.

I'm very doubtfull about this one. If Finely is actually progressing a little, he might beat out Lee for the starting spot in most passing situations. Lee, to me, is pretty overrated. He had one great year and nothign but mediocre ones before and after that. Much like Shiancoe will have now.

I agree with Rock....

Jermichael is a rising star. Donald Lee best be busting his ass and looking over his shoulder.

Remember the end of the season press conference last year. Sherman sounded like he wanted to swap spit with Finley in the shower.

However, I see your point Cali Cheese... Good thread.

I like Aaron Kampman isn't in a "battle" for his job. He still has to work very hard, but I seriously doubt the coaches would even think about benching their Pro Bowler.

If Finley plays like he has in minicamp then Lee probably could be unseated. Of course there is a difference between shorts and pads, but so far Finley has been pretty good based on reports.

I also suspect nobody is going to be taking it easy on the defensive side of the ball this year with a new system being installed. The mental aspect of the game can be just as draining as the physical at times.

Rodgers also has new stuff to learn, but yeah this camp should be much easier for him than last. That's obvious.

sorry I'm not a finley lover - he's got to prove he can catch the ball first and learn the plays.

Only at the end of last season could he do a few of the above.

Our TE position is one of the weakest positions of the offense IMO.

We have a new guy that appeared to be doing well ya?

- also a little off subject; I heard swain is doing real well also as a WR

I think we got what we got with Finley. He came out of college very young ( I think I read where he was the youngest player drafted) was highly gifted and very athletic but would take time to develope.

Even though that was the take on him and that's exactly how it shook out now there's questions. I think the fact that he did come on at the end of last year is a great sign and I think he will contribute to a higher and higher degree with time.

Just like the book on him said it would be. The basis of which was if the team that takes him has patience with him he would turn out to be a third round steal.

No camp battles.. are you kidding me.. there will be so many spots up for grabs it will make Jessica Biel jealous.

I would content that only Kampman has a complete lock on the starting spot.. Jolly, Harrell may give Raji, Pickett and Jenkins a run.. Safety.. one could argue that only Collins has an inside track since Bigby didn't get locked up past this season.. Williams may push Harris..

On the offensive side maybe only Clifton is penned in on the line.. Running back will be contested.. Fullback and TE have no lock either.. 5 and 6 Receivers will be a mosh pit of a battle...

Good problems to have..

I am TOTALLY interested in the battles up front on the D-line and at fullback this season.
