I think we should ban Sir Foster. You know, for 30 seconds or so. ;)

The hard-driving, sarcastic, snide shtick of whiteboy sports talk show hosts has worn thin with me as well, so I dislike both Cowherd and Rome.

I like Peter Brown for some reason. He's very articulate and humorous -- I get the feeling he'd be easy to grab a beer with. I like Chris Myers too, as long as he's not on his moralistic flag-waving soapbox. I also like Tim Montemayor for his brutal frankness . . . until he gets on his own moralistic kick.

I heartily dislike Arnie Spanier, and yet he's oddly addictive. I guess I must have a masochistic streak. :D

I listen to Dan Patrick whenever possible. It's the theme song, man . . . best in the industry.

We don't catch much sports talk shows from the States in Canada, but I liked when Jason Whitlock used to guest on ESPN's The Sports Reporters. The guy doesn't seem to have a problem going against the popular opinion which is awesome.

I always liked Jim Rome, but now I live in a place where I can't hear his show. Now I just get ESPN radio. Mike and Mike are pretty good. Colin Cowherd is usually good, but sometimes his show is more like business talk than sports talk, and I get tired of it. Doug Gottleib tries too hard to be controversial.

I guess there aren't any shows that I like all the way through. Even Rome's show is boring for long stretches, like when he lets the "clones" talk "smack," or when he gets hung up on a point and repeats it over and over. But he can be very funny, and he usually makes good points.

I like him on PTI, but I couldn't stand him on Monday Night Football. I still remember when the Packers played the Vikings Week 1. The Packers had a bunch of penalties and it was like 3rd & 30 (dont know the real yardage but it was a ton). Obviously, the Packers didn't convert and were forced to punt. Tony said something like "don't you think if the Packers had kept Brett instead of Aaron Rodgers that they would have found a way to convert that?" I loved it when Jaws ripped Tony a new one, for saying that.

Edit: Back on the topic of talk show hosts, I like Mike & Mike the most. They are funny, even though Greenie gets annoying at times.
