This comes as no shock to me. When Favre "officially" announced he was staying tired I just said yeah right. Quite pathetic in my opinion because he gave everyone the run around yet again.
If the Vikings and Favre knew it was going to happen this way and lied to the media...I just ask, why? I am glad to see some of the professional heads of sports turn their heads on the way Favre has dealt with this on and off b.s.

Why?

To avoid the circus during training camp, and to give Favre what he wanted (not to go to training camp), that's why.

Yeah, it's much better to have a circus just a few weeks from the start of the season as opposed to the brunt of the circus doing Training Camp. That must have been a Childress move?

The timing for the Vikings is poor, Favre will have very little time to build any type of rapport with the receiving group and teammates which will have him improvising often. We have all seen Favre when he tries to push it then just taking what is there in front of him.

I care less if he plays with the Vikes.. and I wish him well. However in the same breath, I hope we kick the crap out of his Viking lead team and expose his tendencies that we have seen for 16 years.

I fail to understand the hostility towards him.. this latest flip is nothing more than more of the same.. I am truly glad that we don't have to deal with the indecisiveness any longer and hit the season on a dead sprint as we seen this past weekend.

Its all so newspapers and journals can use words like "Veteran Field General" What gains the Vikes will get from Farve: The threat of his former arm

I hate to say it but i hope he crashes and burns. He might be alright in the metrodome but get him outside in the cold on his zimmerframe i think it be different. But then again...i could be proved wrong...roll on week 1
