Tauscher gave up 15 1/2 sacks in his career, less than 3 penalties a year. Barbre is going to give up more sacks this year than that. Breno apparently is not ready to even be active in case of injury.

Bring Tauscher back for the second half of the season. Getting him in soon to start his workup to game shape.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Tauscher is at 90% and is not working out for any team until he feels he is 100%. I read a quote the Packers have contacted him.

that's good to hear, tripp. just curious, where did you talk to Frank Winters, and what is his affiliation with the team? Or maybe he's friends with Tausch?

That's one of my main concerns, but Thompson doesn't put any stock in Wonderlic scores, I think. Now, obviously, you don't need smart players at every position, but I sure prefer a Chad Clifton or Chris Long (?) over an Andre Smith or Allen Barbre.

People tend to dismiss smarts, but just look at VY or Michael Vick against Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning. Even if you don't look at how they played, it's still pretty obvious when you look at off the field behaviour.

OTs should be smart. So should Cs and QBs. Ideally, you want someone on D to know what's up, often the MLB. DTs can be near retarded, it doesn't matter. RBs and WRs only have to be smart enough to know which way to run as it's instinctive and practiced over and over again.

Barbre's score is barely above literate and shows he's not intelligent enough to play the position. And surprise, surprise, he's not.

He should be flipping burgers, not protecting Aaron Rodgers.

Thank you for the input. That's good to hear. Bill Micheals who speaks with Denny? Tauscher, Marks dad and he said as of last week the Packers have not contacted him. But, I recall Ted or Mike specifically mentioning conversing with Tauscher. I think someone asked him how Tauscher was and they replied with something about speaking with him recently that he's recovering well or something to that effect.

I'll take Tripp's word over Bill Michaels.

Little harsh, but I get your point. And like I said, I agree. I'd like some smarter tackles. Luckely, the rest of our tackles are a little higher up.

OT Average - 26 (Questionable sources)

Drayn Colledge - 30
Tauscher - 25 (Not on roster)
Giacomini - 24
Chad Clifton - 23
Meredith - 23 (Not on roster)
Allen Barbre - 11

That's a very steep drop-off from our current and very recent tackles. Or most likely to any recent tackles. Then again, it's not all about the intelligence. Oher is looking like a beast already at RT and he scored a 19. Not as bad as Barbre, but still.

The position I'm really impressed by is our WR group. The most sold thing I could find on Jennings was 'high twenties'. Can't find anything on Driver, but I'm sure that it'll be 20 at least. Jordy Nelson's was 28. Can't find anything about Swain either.

The only guy really falling out of group is James Jones with a score of 9.

Of course, our real crown jewel is Aaron Rodgers. He had a score of 36 at the combine. Not as high as Alex Smith, but that's higher than the average score of chemists (31).

Also shows how overrated the whole test is, though, as Alex Smith is one of the biggest busts of recent memory.

Mucky Tundra (13h) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (13h) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
