I think Dominic Rhodes could be a good pick-up. It's not happening, but I would be so stoked if we got Steven Jackson. I'd be jumping up and down for joy. [-o<

I'd like to see them trade for McFadden. I love that dude.

McFadden is a guy that I think could become special with a change of scenery. He seems really injury and fumble prone though.

Lost 3 fumbles in 160 carries. Not the greatest by any stretch.
Injury prone? He's in his second year and played in 13 games last season and started four games this year.

People so quick to label the hate, damn.

"GoPack1984" wrote:

It's not hate, I actually like the guy as a running back. He made an appearance in 13 games but he was banged up for most of them. After he missed 3 games from injury he had less than 10 carries in 4 of the last 7 games.

I'm not sure how I would feel if GB traded for him. He can block like a beast and catch passes out of the backfield but he will still be out for a couple more games

When does the actual trade deadline end? Any specific time?

Depends on what we give up on whether I think it's okay. If it's a 2nd day pick ... I think I'd be okay.

Well.....truth is....we need someone that can gain more then 2 yards. Yes, Grant got yards at the end of the game. But did NOTHING when the game was still on the line. And it's been that way all year. He just runs into the blockers and goes down. I REALLY thought he was gonna be something good.
Looks like it's not that way though.

"Zero2Cool" wrote:

It's amazing what consistent carries can do for a running game isn't it? End of the game, Lions knew we'd run, but we did it over and over and we get yards.

Yes, more me preaching we need MORE carries to have a running game before we can bitch about not having one. Give the running game a chance before burying it.

I'm a huge Green fan. But he's got nothing left.

I hope I'm wrong.

Count the games Grant has 20 or more carries. What's the W/L?

You know why Grant has 20 more carries in wins? Because we run the ball at the END of the game, in garbage time just like we did against the Lions. Before the fourth quarter when we practically had won the game Grant had under 20 carries--the garbage time put him over.

I don't entirely disagree with you--running the ball more consistently is definitely a good idea. But the times I've seen it happen Grant has been absolutely terrible.

20+ carries for Grant, we win the game. Quit dodging the facts. Garbage time? Give me a break. The team KNOWS we are going to run, yet we get good production. Make up all the excuses you want.

Facts.
Are.
Facts.

20+ carries for Grant increase our chances of winning the game.

beast (17h) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (22h) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (22h) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (23h) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (23h) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (23h) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.

Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder

Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
