Worst part is, I won't be even able to watch the game myself, as it'll be aired from 4 am to 7 am where I live, and my thesis is due that day at 12 noon.

Uhh, do your thesis now, go to sleep at 8pm, wake up @ 3:30 am, watch the game and stay up till noon. Sleep at 2pm.

Yea, running better and playin better vs the Lions and Browns. You're gonna be sorely dissapointed. I will stay away from here for a few days after this monstrous blowout because I dont want to get banned.

I haven't totally bought into the Packers solving their problems, but I can say during the Browns game they showed progress.

Will it be enough progress?

Time will tell.. but through the first 5 games we were killing ourselves with the line play and some coverage breakdowns.. time will tell if the last two games are real improvement or product of competition.

I think it is someplace in the middle..

My opinion, Brett will be pressing to win this game more so than even the first game in MN... I think that will lead to him making rash throws at times.. especially if we keep AP in check again early.

That and playing on natural grass will impact this game..

I just don't see it. Since 2006, when we finished 8-8, Favre has played his smartest football of his life. The only game I remember him imploding like the Brett of old was that Cowboys game in 2007, like week 12 or so. This isn't the Favre of 1999 or 2003 when he would get nervous and heave a bunch of balls up for grabs. If he has protection, he will hit the open man and Vikings win. The only chance the Packers have, other than some funny bounces or luck is that Capers and the Packer defense has a great performance. Other than that, it will be more of the first game and probably a wider margin.

ok so now that we beat the Lions (which had a 3rd string qb and missing their stud wr) and Browns we are back to being a great team spare me. I see AP lighting up the Packers this time around.

Why did they have their third string QB in there? Because we KNOCKED OUT the 2nd stringer! POW RIGHT IN THE KISSAH!

Great team? I wouldn't go that far. A team who did as they were supposed to, yes.

Lions dont even have a legit 1st stringer on their roster. Maybe not even a legit 2nd stringer. None of them should be behind center at this point. They all fucking suck.

Packers will need to intercept Favre a couple times to clinch this one. Minnesotans found out last game about the heartbreak of the game changing fumble and the game losing interceptions that Favre provided for the Packers fans for 15 or so years.

You are joking right? As much heartache Favre's brought you guys, he's brought us DOUBLE time. Not to point out the HISTORY of the Vikings heartbreaks.. Favre's 2 turnovers last Sunday don't even EFFECT us and our heartaches. Sorry.

Actually only half kidding. As much excitement as Favre brought to GB and the NFL, I marvelled in as a Packer fan. As a fan of Favre playing as a Packer, I forgave the last minute INTs and fumble returns that caused the Packers to lose the game.

I am saying that it has just begun for you guys to augment the heartbreaks of the Vikings fans have already had.

Eh, can't be worse than Gary Anderson missing his first FG of the year in the NFC Championship game.

Or having a QB that has an MVP year (Culpepper), yet still can't manage to do anything in the playoffs.

Or any other sort of heartbreak we've endured throughout the years.. Favre could throw the REST of the season, and it still wouldn't affect me like the other choke jobs have.

Pretty weak Zero. If your point is to say the Packers are better because their margin of victory against the Lions was bigger than that of the Vikings, thats pretty damn weak. I expect more of you 🙂

beast (18h) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (23h) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (23h) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
