I'm on the verge of banning a few people because of there constant negative crap and Favre testicular molestering... (jk guys I dont think Im going to ban you, jus said it for effect)

What I'd like from the members here, is to provide positive things for the Packers season. Things to look forward to.

P O S I T I V E.

Keep your "with five more losses Ted Thompson will be fired, thats a positive" out. Those comments will be split and thrown into the back alley.

You can label this thread, the Read me with Green and Gold glasses if you want.

I want to hear err read things like.

Rodgers, going into this Monday night's game is the top passer per QB rating in the NFL.

or we have the best turnover ratio in the NFL

or our kicker is 13 of 14 when attempting 49 or less ( for you IronMan 😉 )

or our defense is 4th in the NFL.

Let's see what we can come up in a positive light. Again, POSITIVE. Something that we can smile about for the next coming games.

Ahman Green has a chance to become the franchise's leading rusher. That'd be a neat record for him to have and even neater is that it came in the same season that Driver became the leading receiver.

Take the easy one. Matthews is turning into a beast coming off the edge. And if things keep going as they have in two games against MN. Matthews is going to single handedly take care of Peterson. With the strip last game and tackles this game.

Tramon Williams has emerged big time. Yes he had a great showing last year, but he struggled when moved outside in place of Woodson.

This year, Tramon is essentially our third starting CB - playing outside and letting Woodson move to Nickel and have the freedom to do different things.

His name has gone unmentioned (in terms of penalties, being out of position, etc.) and that is a good thing in this case.

Three positive threads in a day.. no way, it can't be. ;)

And here I didn't think we wanted to "see the light" .. lol.

There are a ton of things to take away from the Packers to date.

1) Aaron Rodgers is for real.

2) We have a pot full of solid linebackers, one or two of them might even turn out to be stars in this league.

3) As mentioned, Tramon Williams is a major building block to the next generation of corners.

4) Colledge and Spitz are settling into their roles, it took Colledge until now to become consistent..

5) The defensive line has played very well in the new system

6) Jermicheal Finley is starting to deliver on his talents.

7) Jones appears to be completely healthy this season and starting to make plays again.

8.) Quinn Johnson and John Kuhn.. we have a nice duo at FB for the next couple years.. Johnson is an old school knock them around player.. Kuhn is developing in the receiving game, something we haven't had since Big Wil.

9) Havner is coming on.. can you imagine the luxury of having three solid TE's in third and short sets?

10) Besides being lit up by a HOF QB twice.. this defense is growing weekly and will continue along that path..

Listing:

- Talented young QB w/ skills to be a great one for years.

- Depth and talent in many areas (WR, TE, CB, DL, LBs [debatable, but IMO]), which bodes well for the future.

- A defense that should only get better and is certainly improved over last year's group.

Overall: but for one glaring and crucial area, we can see either improvement or a consistently high level of play, and that one area can be fixed.

The Favre in Minnesota thing makes this year harder on Packer fans than it might be otherwise - those two games were over-hyped by almost everyone and are being overblown as well. They could still improve on last year, and I'm hopeful that they will.

Aaron Kampman is back to rushing more, great job by Capers there.

Holy crap is Aaron Rodgers amazing.

Loved the emotion and tenacity of Ahman Green, can't wait to see what he can do.

How our team responded from first half to second half in last night's game was great!!! Every single one of us should take pride in that. I don't care if it ended in a double digit loss, our guys DID NOT QUIT.

+1 for starting this thread.

Everyone above pretty much summarized the positives I see from the team. I'll just add that I think the team still has a decent chance at a wildcard spot in the playoffs.

New positives:

- We got a rookie LT that might turn out to be a starter.

- We got a rookie fullback that does a excellent job at blocking

- People dont know havner yet so they dont cover him; and looks like he can catch a ball.

- 3-4 D is working quite well. We are still getting the kinks out; but doing much better stopping the run. 10th on rush yards ... up from 25th (Ill take that!)

- (btw did you notice more press coverage vs the vikings; I hope we continue with that; harris and woodson excel at this).

- We have a new rookie pass rusher named matthews. I was a big skeptic because of the cost involved in getting matthews this pre-season. I said I was going to compare his stats and play to sintem ... scratch that. I dont even need to compare (let alone dont even know if sintem is playing). Matthews kicks butt and takes names.

- Jolly and jenkins and pickett are turning out to be quite the linemen in this new 3-4. Never thought these guys would shine this well.

- Driver is a stud. plane and simple

- Finley; he made a believer out of me. Glad he is our TE.

- Green isnt too bad. Like to see more of him on some screens

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there

Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
