I think Brooking should have been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for crying like a bitch afterward. Again, retire and join the Girl Scouts.

Broookings, no class. Walk you beaten ass back to your sideline.

Vikings. No class. There is no reason to run that play. Kick the FG, then kick the ball off.

I teach my kids to win and lose with class. Neither of these are an example of what I would expect them to do.

No matter how it is spun, it was not a sportsmanlike play.

Sportsmanlike play in pee-wee or high school.. Or even the NCAA? Nope.

In the NFL? The border for 'sportsmanlike' changes. These are two playoff teams. One of them was hyped as the eventual NFC Super Bowl team. The other? Instead of saying anything to the media, they played 60 minutes of playoff NFL football. Throwing for a TD, late in the game when up by 24 points, on a 4th down? That's freakin' genius. If they fail to convert, the Cowgirls get the ball on their own 11 yard line. Good luck with that drive, boys. If they convert, then it's either first down or TD. Either way, it's a win-win-win scenario.

The Vikings already showed their cards earlier in the game when going for it on a 4th down. BTW, they went 1-2 on 4th down conversions.

I don't think sportsmanship should be different just because they get paid. Not a problem.

What if a team is taking a knee to run out the clock in the first half. If the other team hits one of your guys because they are playing 60 minutes, would that be OK?

Was the hit before the whistle? If so, then I have no problem with it.

But then again, I'm the guy that HATES it when teams sit on the ball (even when it's my team.. I'll take the win, but I love seeing teams play like it's Madden 10) and I've always wanted to see the QB lose the ball and have the defense fall on it. The only way a defense would be able to fall on it is if they were playing full throttle.

I remember a game between the Packers and Cowboys when the Cowboys kicked a late fg to give Chris Boniol a share of the record of 7 fgs, Reggie went nuts about that. The Cowboys won 21-6 on MNF. So if you are complaining about Brooking then i guess you would have to do the same about Reggie. I myself loved it because they thought it was ok back then but now that it happens to them they are pissed.

Vikes vs Jets Super Bowl 🙂 This ones for Ted :P

I remember that shit too. I was so pissed off and upset that Reggie was upset. I think my DEEP hate of the Cowboys was born there. Wasnt that the same game that Erik Williams was using Reggies face mask as a play ground all game long and the ref's did nothing about it?

I forgot to mention. FUCK THE COWBOYS!!!

its a pretty silly complaint.

I'm sort of ambivilient about it, I get the argument about - if you don't like it, stop it. I also get that that's not the way NFL teams normally go about it. I do think Brooking was lame for going to the sidelines and complaining. I do however never want to hear anyone say again that Favre isn't about stats - he pretty much proved he is this year.

Well, well, well.

Mr. Brooking wants to talk about class? Check out what he did on the play right before Minnesota scores the TD. Karma anyone?

I watched that close and zoomed in. It looks bad from a distance but when zooming in and looking close. He wasn't on his neck. There was something with the hands of both I could not make out. But he was not elbowing his throat.

Obviously Phillips thought they were still in the game or he wouldn't of just used his 3 timeouts

Hey, I don't blame Brooking for being passionate. He was pissed off at the outcome of the game, and I'm sure he was venting a bit to Berrian when he had him pinned down like that. The TD pass the next play was what put him over the edge, I'd imagine.

BTW, I love the killer instinct. That TD wasn't ment for the Cowboys.. It was a message to the Saints. I've heard a few players mention that, along with Chilly.
