I was curious if any of you would consider a trade for Brandon Marshall? I'd like to add the guy as an eventual replacement for Driver. My idea to get him would be to trade down in the first round for a high second and high third with one of the teams in this years top ten. Then you offer Denver the high third, James Jones, and one of our inside linebackers.

Brandon Marshall's extracurricular activities could be easily solved with a new contract. Imagine the three wide set of Jennings, Driver, and Marshall, with Finley. If done properly, no can defense.

I'm willing to give either Nelson or Jones a chance at the X receiver position (with the other as the slot receiver) before looking into a trade.

id love to have a 3rd awesome receiver but i dont think marshall's has an image of having a large ego which ted never wants.

James Jones and Jordy Nelson are going to be productive players, I would HATE to get rid of either of them.

Getting rid of Jones or Nelson is your problem with this trade? I'd trade either for Marshall. Maybe even both.

If we could trade a 3rd and Jones/Nelson for Marshall, we'd get a steal.

I think that it'd be highly unlikely, but I'd love that trade.

I like what Jones can offer us in the future, but it's very unlikely that he'll be the 3-time 100 catch guy that Marshall is.

The only problem I have is trading away one of our ILBs. Barnett is a great ILB. He's been playing on a Pro Bowl level since entering the league. Hawk isn't that popular around here, but he's really solid. He's not an elite playmaker, but he's no slouch, either. I don't know if either Chillar or Bishop is starting material. If we could get a kid like Lee in the draft and rotate Chillar and him, I'd be all for trading away Hawk, but you don't know that beforehand.

And Woodson had a large ego. If the guy's good enough as a player and Ted thinks that he can help the football team, while he doesn't have to overpay, he will take a look at him.

Not enough balls to go around between Finley, Driver, Jennings, and Marshall. A-Rod doesn't need the silliness that that would resutl.

We have many weaknesses, but WR is not one of them. I'd be all over Jared Gaither or Marcus McNeil way before Brandon Marshall. Hell, I'd even be more incline to sign Richard Marshall from Carolina.

Our needs: OT, OLB, S, CB, KR.

WR just isn't one of them.

Actually yes you can. You want Marshall to start right away, even with Driver and Jennings? Because one of them will pull a huge TO move if he doesn't start, except for maybe Driver, but taking his starting job away now is just disrespectful.

There has been 0 events where I have considered that maybe another WR would have made a better play than the one who did. There's simply no need to take a WR now, even if Ted Thompson doesn't feel like Nelson or Jones can take over for Driver, Donald still looks like he has years in him, so there's gonna be a lot of years to fix that issue. The picks we would have to give up for Marshall could be used for more useful things right now than a 5th starting caliber receiver on our team.

This'd make Driver expendable. We could cut him, really. Then draft a WR later on. Our roster would look like this at WR.

Jennings - Marshall - Nelson/Jones - Rookie - Swain (STs). I wouldn't mind that, at all.

Problem is, people will go crazy because we're letting Driver go. And I can imagine that, I don't want to see him go, either. He's been such a great person. Fact remains that Marshall is a better WR, though. But that might be too much drama just to upgrade your WR position a little.
