I have no problem using that statement. I just said when it's the best thing you can say about your situation, you're not very confident. You have a ton of things going for you. You make me look like a pipsqueak by comparison, for example. ;)

LOL.. it was just a reference that such statements can't be dismissed upon face value.

In reading his quote.. I think it is fairly certain he doesn't lack confidence in his ability to play.. in the things he can control.. but I agree, it doesn't sound like he has confidence in his body to remain healthy. But is that in his control?

lol geez guys

What does Justin have to be confident about? I can't fault the man for being confident-less. Err, lacking confidence.

I'm hoping he proves many wrong, just not holding my breath for it.

I think we all get that feeling when comparing our lifes to Shawn's.

I usually go and cry a little on my bed when I compare my life to his.

Then I realize he has just one leg, laugh at him a bit and resume my daily activities.

Dang. Life is just unfair.

Any time the strongest thing a man can say is "I'm going to stay positive," you know he has next to no confidence whatsoever. "This is the best I've felt since I got hurt" is hardly a resounding statement of victory, and if I'm not mistaken, he used the identical phrase this time last year. It's pretty much a "no-duh" statement: Of course he feels the best he's felt since he got hurt; he's had time to recover, and he hasn't exerted himself too strenuously. The question isn't how he feels now; it's how well he holds up under exertion.

Yeah. I have a feeling that his confidence is pretty much shot. For the record, I have nothing against the guy and wish him the best. Just wish Ted Thompson didn't waste our #1 pick on someone who has an injury history that's longer than LT's criminal record.

When I went out in college.. I always wore shorts and flops when weather permitted.. hell I still do.

Most effective ice breaker I had in the arsenal after I would catch the lady checking out the metal leg.. "God was kind.. I still have symmetry below the belt line with 2 of the 3 appendages."

Ambiguous enough to bail out and save face if I needed to.. and if they struggled with the word symmetry... I could always move on.. lol.

Back to the topic at hand.. personally I hope he shakes the IR bug and makes some noise on the field..

I would love to see a 6 man effective rotation along the defensive line...

Jenkins
Jolly
Pickett
Raji

Any combination of these to fill out the 2 to 3 spots depending upon Jolly's status.

Harrell
Wynn
Neal
CJ...

beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
