I actually like him better than Grant. Think they keep Blackmon?

Why do you like him better than Grant? Grant is a top 10 RB (7th in rushing yards, 7th in TDs, 8th in total fantasy points) and he doesn't fumble. One fumble in all of 2009. He also had a 4.4 average behind a mediocre OL.

I doubt it will happen, but I would not be surprised to see Matt Flynn get traded. Not because we don't want him, but because someone else wants him enough to make it worth our while.

Because he's faster, cuts much better, has much better vision and can catch the ball. Wouldn't be surprised to see them deal Flynn either.

I don't know what positions the Giants need but their 2nd round pick from last year Clint Stintim I believe is having trouble winning a starting spot as a 4-3LB but looks the part of a possible 3-4 backer. I have no idea what they would want for him though because I'm sure it would be tough to give up on a 2nd rounder so soon.

I had him mocked to us in the 2nd round before the 2009 draft. He has great athleticism and should fit quite well as a 3-4 OLB.

He has all the tools to rush the passer, while still being able to drop back in a zone and play the run, as well. I thought he was horribly misscast when the Giants selected him to play SAM in their scheme. I still think he is.

Like a lot of young guys, he doens't have a big pass rushing repetoire, but you can mold this guy into one heck of a player.

Do you think Graham Harrell is ready to be the #2 QB? I sure don't. So unless a capable backup QB is part of the deal, I don't think it would be wise to trade Flynn. And of course there would have to be another player traded to the Packers to make such a deal worthwhile--otherwise they would just be swapping one capable backup QB for another. Is Flynn worth so much that he could be traded for a capable backup QB AND a good player at some other position? I think that would be a tough sell and also pretty disruptive to the team with the regular season just about to start.

When the Packers have traded away QB's (Brunell, Detmer, Brooks, Hasselbeck--man, there were a lot of them) in the past, they have usually felt pretty good about their #3 guy.

I wouldn't like it, but Ted kicked Craig Nall to the curb and replaced him with two rookies behind Rodgers.

Like you said, I don't see it happening. I don't think we'll get enough in return at this point and going with Harrell would be way too risky.

A little off topic, but everyone knows I can't stand TT. I am starting to like him and it's not by choice but seeing moves other teams are making got me thinking I am actually glad we have a stingy bastard as our gm.

Things could be worse and have a gm like the Vikes.

Giants | Sage Rosenfels acquired

The New York Giants have acquired QB Sage Rosenfels from the Minnesota Vikings, reports ESPNews. It is not known what the Giants gave up to acquire him.

Updating a previous report, the Minnesota Vikings traded RB Darius Reynaud along with QB Sage Rosenfels to the New York Giants in exchange for an undisclosed 2011 NFL Draft pick and a conditional draft choice in the 2012 NFL Draft Friday, Sept. 3, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Judd Zulgad. The deal is contingent on both Rosenfels and Reynaud passing their physicals.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

No chance we trade Flynn away at this point. The guys been studying our scheme for the last couple years and really wouldn't bring a ton of value in a trade. He's worth alot more to us then he would starting from scratch on a different team.
Lee is the one I would like to see shopped. I know there's next to no experience behind Finley after Havner. But Lee should bring good value, and is over paid for a situational backup TE. Make Havner the 2nd TE and save a roster spot for Quarless or Crabtree, preferably Quarless becuase I think we could hide Crabtree on the PS for a year.
We are born naked, wet and hungry. Then things get worse.
