Certainly the 98 Vikings and 07 Patriots like stated by Zombieslayer, are the two best teams not to of won the Super Bowl. Honestly, I can't think of any other teams that come close. Not off the top of my head. Maybe Buffalo.
I'll tell you this. That Super Bowl between Denver and Minnesota would've been off the charts good IMO.

A lot of professional ballplayers including Hall of Famers and future Hall of Famers in different sports, TRIED to keep up with Rice. They couldn't. These guys were the best of the best too, not some run of the mill wannabes.
Rice's workout ethic is simply insane. He never had the natural ability of Randy Moss. Had Randy Moss even had Driver's or Welker's drive, he would have retired ahead of Rice.
Mi_keys is right about where he'll fall. He'll get scary close to the TD record but will fall short of the others. If something happens to Brady, he'll really fall short. Having an elite QB definitely helps.
