Hey, now. I don't have an iron in this fire. I've had football coaches tell me I should try out for defensive back. Maybe that's why I like watching good tackling so much. ;)

Too bad I'm way too old for that now. One of the biggest regrets of my life, when I waste time thinking about it, is I never had a chance to try out for football. Ah, well.

You're like 28, aren't you? Aren't there any amateur teams around? You'd be pretty much near your prime right now.

Now dispelling this notion that they have the most impact on the game.. which is a myth.

Case in point.. 2009 Packers.. the offensive line failed early and it impacted the offense far greater than Rodgers ever could.

If the receiver drops the ball... the QB failed right along with him.. his success is dependent upon his teammates.. hence why all 22 have to carry their weight upon the field.

But somewhere along the lines, these QB get this notion that they are in control.. when in fact it is nothing more than an illusion developed by the glorification placed upon them..

When I found out Zero was a former QB.. the PH world made sense clearly.. lol.

Your post here (in my opinion) goes more to why a QB is the expected leader. WR drops the ball, QB's fault. WR tips the ball its picked off, QB's fault. WR catches TD pass, QB credit. Good or Bad, it falls onto the QB. 🙂

Pffft, former my ass, I can still fling the rock baby!!

No, that's a good thing.

When it's cold, I kind of regret playing football. Even fully healed injuries hurt when it's cold.

If you ask anyone who played no matter on what level, it seems like everyone's got an injury or two.

I have chronic injuries too. I live everyday with pain. But they're from things like sledding carelessly down double dips, long-distance running on rocky trails, ruckmarching with heavy packs in arduous terrain, fucking up in the weightroom, and jumping out of airplanes. Not something memorable like football.

Yet another reason why we should be able to bring guns on planes. What happens if the zombie outbreak starts when you're in midair? Stupid politicians probably never thought of that one.
