Sergio Kindle Out Indefinitely With Fractured Skull

A day after the Baltimore Ravens confirmed that their top draft pick, Sergio Kindle, had been hospitalized with a head injury, head coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Kindle was badly hurt in a fall down the stairs and won't be on the field for the Ravens any time soon.

Adam Schefter of ESPN first reported that Kindle will need to remain in Austin, Texas, and won't be able to travel to Baltimore for at least three weeks. And the Baltimore Sun reported that Kindle has a fractured skull that is keeping him in an Austin hospital. Harbaugh isn't sure when Kindle will become available.

"I know one thing: We're going to be very careful with that," Harbaugh said. "We're talking about a head injury playing football. It's not something we're going to be in a hurry to mess with."

At the very least, Kindle has been ruled out of training camp. But the way Harbaugh is talking, it sounds like Kindle could be out a lot longer than that.

Kindle has not signed a contract with the Ravens yet, but reports suggest that the Ravens will still offer him a deal commensurate with his status as the 43rd pick in the draft.

According to the Ravens, Kindle fell down two flights of stairs when he took a misstep walking in the dark at a friend's home.

Somewhere I read that he fell down two flights of steps.
How do you fall down two flights of steps?

Not that it takes two a two-flight fall to fracture your noggin or worse.
