Good one.

So what's the criteria? Career whining or whines per season?

If it's career whines, Peyton Manning wins.

If it's whines per season, Cutler wins.

NFL Network is going to be discussing whether or not Aaron Rodgers was ranked too low at #11 in a few minutes.

Edit, what they said...

They say many people are screaming foul that he should be at least top 5.

One guy (Jamie Dukes?) on the show says he wouldn't put him higher than Brees, Manning or Brady, but should have been between 5-10.

Another guy (Mike Lombardi?) says Rodgers was too low.

Another guy (Francis aka Kermit) says the criteria just wasn't defined well. (oddly enough, didn't NFL Network administer the 'survey'?)

Which frankly seems like a dumb idea to me. Why would you rank players for a season that hasn't happened yet? It makes so much more sense to rank the players from the previous season, since you actually have data for that season. Anything could happen going into this season: history shows that a certain number of players on that Top 100 list won't be on the field opening weekend.

I was excited for this entire list...until they presented it. I thought it was a terrible list overall and the criteria for placing players was all over the place.

Marshall Faulk said it the best when he was debating the placement of players with last years stats. I think that is the most logical thing to do if you are ranking players for the following season, no?

With going off Faulk's idea of placement I would easily say that Aaron Rodgers deserved to be higher on the list.

Ray Lewis is... was a great player, but him in the top 5.. makes the list simply a joke. That and Peppers included in the top 10.. a guy that can disappear for long stretches of time.
