I'm forming a hatred towards the 49ers that rivals what festered with the 90's and Cowboys.

Starting 2012 with a loss to the 49ers and capping it with a playoff loss and then repeating the same damn thing in 2013 ... UGHHHHHH!!!

Why be hopeful? Another year of draft picks. Another year of insane amount of injuries. Another year of cute offensive play calls by McCarthy. Another year of Capers defense getting torched up and down the middle of the field because for some damn reason his defense NEVER accounts for the BIG WIDE AREA BY THE HASHMARKS!!

Without big changes, 2014 won't be much different.

Had the Niners' new team never took flight in the NFL this team would be fine. The truth is, the NFL changed at the wrong time for us.

Another year of the offense going into a shell and Lull'ing at the wrong time.

There aren't many teams we shouldn't be able to dominate.

Heh, if only the packers could suck for about 5 years straight and draft in the top 12 like the 49ers did, maybe they could match up in terms of talent.

GB has a good coach and GM, but drafting in the bottom third of every round, every year certainly hurts.

It will be interesting to see how the 49ers look in 2-3 years after drafting in the bottom third, and when they have to deal with contract/cap issues with various players.

This is the one thing that any player should know how to do - I mean for f*ck sake, you ride the pine in HS if you can't make a tackle and these are professionals.

The secondary got better at the later part of the season, but they still cannot fix the middle of the field as you mentioned. I am not pro coaching staff, but to me this would be a big area of concern. There are a few ways to take away the middle of the field - Dom should know this. Capers will probably be kept, so hopefully his schemes get better or he is given the missing pieces via free agency or early picks.

I'm not done... onward to Mike. While I don't HATE Mike McCarthy - I do see some negatives that make me question him. Trying to run with Cobb on first and goal - why tell the other team what you are going to do - waste of a crucial down. Running on first every time you get the ball - this only stops after repeated 3 and outs. I get that we have a running game now, but that is no reason to be predictable. Remember the Giants game - JPP knew the call before they even lined up.

Ted has done some good and bad things for this team. He usually finds a few jems in the draft, but he almost treats the free agent market like it is nuclear waste. Some veteran blood could be what we need. It seems every year we are just a couple guys away from being "there."

Until the conditioning staff is sent packing, I fear that injury hell will be the norm for this team. I shake my head when the injury report comes out and I see "hamstring" listed multiple times on a weekly basis. Unacceptable is an understatement.

Why do I feel so negative right now? Because I don't see these issues being fixed. I don't see Mike or Dom making any major changes, and I don't see Ted venturing off to FA to find those guys we are missing. This is not a knee-jerk reaction to the game, just a list of things I think need to improve.

We just need to re-sign EDS and James Jones. Everybody else is expendable.

Draft.

And if possible, sign Orakpo.

Zero2Cool (30-May) : Bears are the first team to be selected for Hard Knocks
dfosterf (29-May) : Andy Herman and his Pack a day podcast put up GB strengths yesterday. This morning he did weaknesses. They are both very good.

Zero2Cool (13-May) : I know we moved on. That tidbit just makes me a touch happier.
Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
