I am stumped on why everyone is saying the Bears will be bottom feeders?

They made plenty of moves in the off season and to me they will have a tough defense. We still have a weak defense and one qb hit away from getting the #1 overall pick. Rodgers has been injury prone the last few years and I still say it was a huge mistake to sign him to the huge contract. Make him play out his contract and most of all show me he is past his injury.

They need a QB who doesn't lose them the game. They don't need the QB to win the game with that defense, they just need to be efficient. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears finish ahead of Lions in the division.

I just don't think this is a good long-term deal for a team like the Bears. Then again, I didn't see the Rams turning Jared Goff into performing like he did last season.

Its the rivalry that is fueling most of the "The Bears Still Suck" mentality. They should have a very good defense. Their front 7 at least, I am not that familiar with their secondary other than Fuller.

If you look at the off season acquisitions they made it look pretty damn good and I would be willing to bet most of the Trubisky hate is fueled by the fact that he is a Bear and nothing more. Some Packers fans simply hate the Bears so no matter what they do those fans will spin it negatively.

I disagree on the Rodgers aspect. Making him play out the last two years would have been very risky and I honestly am not worried about his shoulder.

Good deal for the Bears I'd say knowing they get the second rounder back.

Overall, I think it means the Raiders got a tad less than two 1st round picks value for Mack

People thinking we can support Rodgers and macks contracts and still field a competitive team at other positions is crazy

Sorry, there is no way in hell I would give more than 2 #1's. In fact, I don't think they should have offered that much. Lets hope our offensive line holds up and our improved defensive personnel and coaching are enough.

I'm not sure I believe the Packers offered a straight up two 1st round picks... maybe something like the Bears, where there is two 1st round picks, but they also get something more than Mack back.

But sounds like the Raiders didn't believe any defensive player was worth $20 million per year and they wanted someone who could potentially have a top 16 pick next year... and felt like the Bears had a better chance of that, than their other offers.

Zero2Cool (30-May) : Bears are the first team to be selected for Hard Knocks

Zero2Cool (13-May) : I know we moved on. That tidbit just makes me a touch happier.
Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
