Matt Flynn's performance

What did everyone think of Matt Flynn? I thought he looked like he belonged in the NFL. He threw a couple of nice passes, and I really liked how he got out of the pocket, rolled right, and completed a pass for a first down. He showed some natural talent on that play.

On the minus side, his two deep balls were both horrible (one overthrown, one underthrown), and he also badly overthrew a medium-length pass. I'm hoping that this was just a mild case of the jitters. He throws a decent spiral. None of his passes looked weak or fluttery.

Overall, I was pleased with his performance. Because of this experience, he should feel a little more comfortable next time he plays (which will almost certainly happen next week in Arizona, at some point in the game).

I think he did well and will serve as a great scout QB as Kurt Warner.

He did ok, no worse than Rodgers in his rookie year. (I'd be happy if Flynn was developing only one year behind Rodgers' trajectory).

I'm pleased he's getting experience, it can only help him.

I think they were protecting him by focusing on the run. His deep balls were off, but I think that's the result of not practicing with the guys regularly. If he had to start, he'd get more reps with them.

I only watched 2 or 3 of Flynn's throws, but I liked what I saw.

He looked ok, minus those deep balls. It was a very nice pass where he rolled out and found a hardworking Nelson on the sideline.

He looked ok. He looks pretty good out there. That said, i hope we don't "need" him.
He sure hasn't made me miss Brian Brohm.

The deep ball over Driver looked like DD got hung up on the route and wasn't able to break free when expected. I will have to look his passes up when I get into Game Rewind.

For the most part, I liked what I saw.
He definitely has some rust since he doesn't play very often. But he has tools.
