What did everyone think of Matt Flynn? I thought he looked like he belonged in the NFL. He threw a couple of nice passes, and I really liked how he got out of the pocket, rolled right, and completed a pass for a first down. He showed some natural talent on that play.
On the minus side, his two deep balls were both horrible (one overthrown, one underthrown), and he also badly overthrew a medium-length pass. I'm hoping that this was just a mild case of the jitters. He throws a decent spiral. None of his passes looked weak or fluttery.
Overall, I was pleased with his performance. Because of this experience, he should feel a little more comfortable next time he plays (which will almost certainly happen next week in Arizona, at some point in the game).
