So if neither of us knows what was truly happening then why is it REDSOX is trying to say he is right?

And I am not going to win that argument, that's fine.

I deleted my other posts. All I'm saying is:

I just doubt that at halftime going 10-18, 163 yards, up 10-6 Favre was out of the game at halftime. Seriously, if Favre can put up those numbers and his head is out of the game, IN THAT WEATHER, the guy is the greatest QB of all time. Like WOW! Against the Super Bowl champions and that defense in that weather to do that with not "being into the game", we should seriously consider him to be the greatest of all time.

And I think Favre has become some kind of scapegoat for that game for when in the 2nd half, the Giants had:

TD
TD
43 Yard FG to win the Game at the end of the 4th Quarter.

That has nothing to do with Favre. The game never gets to OT and likely even if Favre doesn't turn it over there and we punt it, they score at will because Mike McCarthy was completely outcoached 2nd half on.

The firing Mike McCarthy thing was an overreaction and I take responsibility for that. I meant it just to highlight how stupid I think it is to 1) have that opinion after that kind of half and 2) to say it where you can be heard by others - I think you owe more respect to players. Think it in your mind based on your view - I don't trust your view because your not BB or Parcells or something, your Mike McCarthy but thats a whole other matter.

Its all opinion, just like whatever everyone else said. If my opinion somehow is not competent because its automatically bias, be it. But the above is my OPINION, thats it, LTF, I am not saying you or Cheesey or NSD or whoever is wrong - but I disagree.

All I know is that if dude didn't get his bell rung on that chin shot - if all that really happened was a cut on the chin? That ain't the guy I watched and cheered for for 19 years. A cut on the chin? Seriously? He looked like he was about to freaking die, and he left the game at a crucial moment - and then they say it was just a cut on the chin?

That was either a concussion, or Brett's really losing it - and faster than I would ever have imagined.

Pretty much my thinking as well. Time after time (after time) I see the same argument being pseudo-disguised under a new topic all in defense of any negative criticism of Favre.

I'm pretty sure most everyone here understands that you love Favre. I'm not saying that means you can't be objective, but the predictable nature of your posts is quite entertaining.

Lets not forget, no matter what the Giants did in the game, Favre SHOULD have been able to at least equal what THEY did, right? But he didn't, did he?

And i do NOT hate Favre. I am looking at that (and his other playoff implosions) objectively. Other then winning SB 31, he did little in the other playoff games since then. As good as he COULD be, he was often bad.
He has all the records because of his playing for 20 years. He has the most TD's AND the most INTs, right?
Was he fun to watch? HELL YES!!! And i'm glad i was around to see that.
Still, it boils down to ONE Super Bowl win in all his seasons here. One is ALOT better then NONE. And i'm happy for that. But he has shown that he has lost the "magic" he once had. But heck, he's 41 years old! Like i have said, NO ONE can play forever. He has done alot for the Packers, and for the NFL. I'll NEVER forget that fact.
It's a shame that he has done such stupid stuff, like the texting, which makes him look like a complete douche. He has hurt his image where i don't think it will ever completly recover. And THAT is the biggest shame, in my opinion.

I see what you are saying Cheesey but I still think a lot of people like to see what they want to see in order to prove a point. For example, this is Favre's last 4 playoff games (2007 and 2009).

80/128, 953 Yards, 10 TDs, 4 INTs, QB Rating of 98.

I don't know, that's pretty good. He's not Mr. Playoffs and I would much rather have Tom Brady over Brett Favre for a playoff game any day of the week but those are not horrible numbers.

Plus Manning only has one Super Bowl. Even in the Super Bowl the Packers lost, these were Favre's numbers:

25/42 256 Yards 3 TDs 1 Int

Thats not bad either. I'm not saying he's perfect because that Rams game, the Giants OT, the Eagles OT, etc. are not shining moments but I think his whole playoff thing is bit of an overreaction on some people's part. I bet you a lot of people would kill to have those playoff numbers at 38-40 yards old.

I'm just saying that whole "he's doing nothing in the playoffs since the Super Bowl win" is a bit much. In that 2nd SuperBowl, he played well enough to win. Once again, people will try to twist my words, I am not saying he's Mr. Playoffs (that's why he will never be and should never be considered to be the greatest of all time) but he's not as bad as people make it out to be.

I just think part of it is that Packers fans are spoiled, multiple SuperBowls by the same QB is pretty rare - even one is rare, ask a Dolphins fan.

Also, it will recover because people have short memories. Did you ever think that Vick would be back in the NFL and not being boo'd, etc. He hung dogs from a tree and watched them die and then was in jail - sometimes I even forget that happened. At the height of that dog fighting coverage, did anyone honestly think Vick would ever be welcomed back by fans and the media?

Point of the article was the coaches (ones that matter) seen he didnt want to be out there...

And if he didnt want to be there in Jan for a trip to the SB, why bother waiting till August to take him back

Not how he played week before when it was 30 degrees, not how he played in a DOME but in the elements and 0 degrees

Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : For now...
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers wanted to draft Ray Lewis. Ravens stole him.
Martha Careful (6-May) : Happy 93rd Birthday to the Greatest Baseball Player of All-Time...Willie Mays
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Walter Stanely's son
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : and released CB Anthony Johnson and DL Deandre Johnson and waived/injured WR Thyrick Pitts (thigh-rick).
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Julian Hicks, OL Lecitus Smith (luh-SEET-us) and WR Dimitri Stanley
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Petty, but it's annoying me how the NFL is making the schedule release an event.
Mucky Tundra (4-May) : @mattschneidman Matt LaFleur on how he tore his pec: “Got in a fight with the bench press. I lost.”
Zero2Cool (3-May) : Jordan Love CAN sign an extension as of today. Might tak weeks/months though
TheKanataThrilla (3-May) : Packers decline 5th year option for Stokes
Mucky Tundra (3-May) : @ProFootballTalk Jaylen Warren: Steelers' special teams coach has discussed Justin Fields returning kicks.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Season officially ending tonight for Bucks ... sad face
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as out for tonight's game.
dfosterf (2-May) : Surprisingly low initially is my guess cap wise, but gonna pay the piper after that
dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : I miss having Sam Shields.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Not that he's making excuses, just pointing it out
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : That's for dang sure. Make our erratic kicker have no excuse!
packerfanoutwest (28-Apr) : having a great long snapper is gold
Zero2Cool (28-Apr) : LaFleur looking like he had some weight. Coachin will do that lol
