NFL passes competition committee proposal on PAT, moving kicks back to the 15. LOS for 2-pointers is still the 2, D can now score on them.

Great might as well move the goalposts and widen the field and add 3-4 CFL teams in expansion. Why can't they just leave the damn game alone and count their $$$ 🤬

Here's another one:
3: Weather is now a much bigger factor.

And one more:
4: Players are gonna start taking more shots at kickers during returns and whatnot.

The only teams going for 2 this year will be new England and Seattle, and I will be jealous as hell because our coach has his tail tucked between his legs.

Packers were 1 for 3 last year and only 2-11 from 2010 - 2014 (they did go 3-5 in 2009).

With a split like that, you don't start going for 2 willy-nilly unless it's the second half and it's a situational decision based on score or if you're just well behind. Unless the Packers can prove they can get the two >50% of the time in which case go for it until you hit the middle of the fourth quarter in which case again, situationally.

I would assume that the success rate for a 32-yard field goal/new extra point would go up. Kickers have a set distance, in the center of the field to practice repeatedly. Less room for error kicking that much further away but I still think we won't see many teams going for a ton of 2 point conversions (unless they're way behind).

If you're not good at something, doing something different that you're much better at (even if it doesn't get you QUITE as many points as when you succeed) isn't "lacking balls" as some people put it. Every situation should have a cost-benefit analysis. If it's the fourth quarter and that one extra point gets you up by another possession, absolutely. If it's the 2nd quarter and it's 7-6 after you scored a TD, if your team is really good at 2 pointers, sure go for two. If you suck at 2 pointers, take the high-percentage point.
