All I saw was Janis make plays where he had a very simple route to run. This offense doesn't rely on simple routes; it is a read and react offense that requires precision, timing, and knowing what A-Rod is seeing and thinking.

Janis showed on a couple of occasions that is not his cup of tea. Janis had a wonderful game tonight, and stepped up HUGE. He deserves more reps to gain experience.

But he still has a ways to go. That said, when we absolutely needed him at WR, he stepped up. He also stepped up as a special teams player.

At this stage given what we have seen, I think it would be foolish to count out Janis eventually having a role at WR for us. He's earned the benefit of the doubt after this season.

I like what Michael Rodney said of Packersnotes.com... Janis and Abby were probably an upgrade over Cobb and Adams. By the looks of the O yesterday vs. most of the season it's kinda hard to disagree not that it was fantastic yesterday.

They tried to get him in there a number of times during the regular season, if you'll recall. Dude couldn't catch a cold. Finally they figured out that he needs to be facing the QB, and they worked around that. He did OK, but if you can't figure out why Jones started over Janis... Well, we all know how smart you are. 🤣

Honestly, how many opportunities did Janis get vs. Davante Adams? Davante did nil with his opportunities. 17 was targeted 21 times one game. Was Janis targeted 21 times all regular season? Nope...not even close. So, your contention he was given opportunities is a fallacy. He wasn't.

Davante was targeted 92 times on the season. Produced 1 TD and less than 500 yards. That's P A T H E T I C. Davante was targeted TWENTY ONE TIMES vs. Detroit. That's 9 more than Janis had all season. Davante produced 79 yards on those 21 targets. Janis produced that many yards on four targets vs. SD.

Janis was targeted 12 times all regular season. 11 in the Cardinals playoff game.

You tell me why we played Davante and James as much as we did and ignored Jeff Janis? Your answer for why Janis didn't play used in the context of why Davante did play makes no sense.

Fact is, he got more opportunity than Abbrederis, but he is unable to catch the ball unless facing the QB. He did look better in this game, but that is dude to 1 Aaron once again using proper mechanics and 2 continued practice and development as a player.

Hopefully by TC, he will be adequate to get even more playing time.

I asked some simple things in reply to your (wrong) assertion that Janis had his opportunities. I asked why Davante continued getting his when he did nothing with the ones he was getting. Those are simple and more than fair questions only to be greeted by your incorrect personal characterizations followed by your wrong football characterizations.

My "obsession" with Janis applies equally to Abbrederis. BOTH should've been playing much more than they were and getting opportunities. Aaron even lobbied for Abby and he got ZERO snaps the following game. I do think Aaron isn't particularly fond of Janis for whatever the reason but Janis makes plays James Jones and Davante Adams can't and can only dream about.

Oh, and for the record, not Nerd speak, Abby had MORE opportunity than Janis...he had more targets during the regular season. 16 to 12. Abby was injured for a portion of the season while Janis was not but to you Abby got less opportunity. Incorrect. 0-3 in your reply.

Both should've had gotten more of the targets that went to Davante Adams and James Jones.
