I agree. There is too much swearing in today's world. And most of the time, it's not necessary.
I find myself swearing, and it's because it's what you hear every day. Which is sad. You can make any point without cussing......it might make you use your brain more, but it is possible,
Think about all the cuss words you hear on TV today, that NEVER would have been allowed 40 years ago.
Bill Cosby never swore in his comedy. He did ONE time, and to me, it made his point alot more then if he swore all the time. He was talking about drugs, and how he one time asked a guy why he did drugs. The guy said "Cause it hightened your personality". Cosby replied, "But what if you're an asshole?"

STILL makes me laugh!
Some comedians, i just can't listen to, cause every other word is swearing. It gets old mighty fast, in my opinion.
I respect you because of taking a stand for what you believe in.

One time, back in the 1980's, i was working at a lead factory. I had to work with a guy that was from a temp service. I worked with him a whole week, when out of the blue he said "You must be one of them born again Christians." I aksed, HOW he knew that. His reply? "I've worked with you a whole week, and never heard you swear even ONCE."
People ARE watching/listening to you, even when you don't realize it.
Food for thought.

I don't think men should clean up their language because women are around. If they're saying "fuck" every other word, I think they should clean up their language so they don't sound like complete idiots. It's the man's version of the Valley Girl.

+1 to Kat1, even though she doesn't have an account here (so I guess nobody gets it).

I don't mind swearing, but when someone says fuck in every fucking sentence, it's downright lame. My real estate agent does that and he wonders why I appear so much smarter than he does to everyone else.

I only swear when I'm pissed.

I do think that not swearing in front of women is misogynistic. Now, I wish people would answer this simple question - are women and men equal? If they are, then swear the same amount in front of both. If you think women are emotionally inferior and can't handle bad words, then by all means, swear less in front of them.

Also credit to Formo for throwing his sister against the wall by the neck. I don't have respect for women who physically abuse men knowing that men won't defend themselves.

I don't believe people are equal. I believe some people are better than others and some people are inferior and the world would be better off with them dead before they piss in the gene pool. However, people should be treated as equals, ESPECIALLY by law. Big difference.

For the record Formo, you may have saved your sister's life. You never know when she'll hit some psychotic guy. It's much better she learned that life lesson through you than through him.

Cheesey raises a good point, one that I've made many times. If you swear too much, you rob it of its effect. I only swear when something's really wrong, so when I swear, people look up and take notice.

Yeah, I try. I really do.

You can ask me to swear less here. But please don't ask me to swear less when I'm working on my car's engine. πŸ˜‰

I like to write like I would speak, and sometimes the f-word is appropriate. I'm sorry if I offend anyone.

In my house we have a large list of "Daddy only" words.

Rourke and Cheesey nailed it. I'll be straight up with ya'll.. I love to swear. Not all the time, but there's just something.. I dunno.. Satisfying about dropping the F-bomb after stubbing my little toe in the door jamb. Somehow, someway, it makes my toe feel better. But because it seems to have that effect, is because I don't swear all the time. The effect is totally worn off when you drop the effenhiemer every other word. I also like what Kat1 said.

Sorry 4Pack, but I just visualised you doing this and started laughing at your expense. Nothing funnier than someone falling down or stubbing their toe. I don't know why, but I find that hilarious.

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 πŸ˜”
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress

Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : I thought that was the Lions OL
Mucky Tundra (6-Aug) : Travis Glover placed on IR; seasons over for him
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : found bad sql in database, maybe site faster now?
dfosterf (5-Aug) : I'm going to call that a good move.
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Packers sign CB Corey Ballentine
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : I'm not sure how to kill the draft order just yet so it's not so confusing.
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round
