Does the bible say anything about Puma Punku ? I've been reading about it recently and have been completely fascinated by it. These structures we can't even replicate today. Does this this lead credence to maybe some kind of alien life form?

There is nothing in the Bible about them. Why would there be? The Bible was written by men int he Middle East. They knew nothing about the people and lands in India, Central Russia, Northern Europe or from Mid Africa south.

Even the structures of nations/ empires get almost no mention. There is next to nothing about the Egyptian pyramids, the walls and gardens in Babylon. No mention of the Roman architectural accomplishments like the aqueducts and so on.

The Bible was never intended to be an architectural book so getting into much detail about any structures has little purpose.

Either way, the structures are fascinating.

Well, the Bible does speak about the tower of Babel. He states that mankind could have built it up to the heavens, and that was why He confounded the languages so that men couldn't understand each other and thus had to give up their attempt.

So I think this find of ruins just shows that ancient man knew alot of things that we didn't know they knew.
They were alot smarter and could do things before all the "modern" tools we have today.
And the according to the article, it shows that the flood DID happen, which is something the Bible said all along.
Proof of the flood of Noah keeps showing up all over the world.

I sometimes think the biggest problem today is that we have is that we insist on repeating the error of the builders of the Tower of Babel.

Not because we build tall buildings that none of us can leap in a single bound, but because we share their faith in the powers of our own minds.

The Babylonians' big sin was that of pride, the notion that they were approaching God in their understanding. We (modern "enlightened and educated" man, that is) have repeated that error in spades. Because of the amazing progress we have made in the last 3 centuries or so (technologically, philosophically, scientifically, politically, economically), we deify our own powers of reason and knowledge. And we forget that, even now, what we know about life, the universe, and everything is trivially small compared to what we don't know. We reduce God to "religion" (nothing more than a word for a particular subset of that limited understanding human beings have), rather than remembering that what He is, what He is capable of, dwarfs our limited understanding by orders of magnitude more than our understanding dwarfs that of a Neolithic amoeba.

Babylon's hubris was a belief that matters of importance were explained by solutions to intellectual problems of civil engineering. Ours is more profound, believing that matters of importance are explained by solutions to intellectual problems of civic engineering.

As usual, few of us see even as clearly as Paul did (Romans 12:2; 1 Corinthians 13:12; Philippians 4:7).
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Ah Philippians 4:7 - "the peace of God which passeth all understanding" - one of my favorite verses when I was a kid because when I heard that, it meant church was almost over and we could go home and watch the Packers.

Man doesn't learn anything factual or applicable to produce things unless God allows it to happen. Theories? They could easily come from the other direction hahahaha.

I honestly had never heard of Puma Punku by name before Googling it when I read the start of this thread. (I had heard of Von Daniken and the Bolivian thing, but not by name.) The first thing I came across in Google was an article debunking the idea that it was alien-connected, and Von Daniken in general as somebody who played fast and loose with the facts - like the indigenous material the things are made out of, for example.

Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
