If Brett has an issue with anyone, it is not Ted Thompson, but Mike McCarthy. McCarthy is the one who made the final decision to "move on" after Brett retired. Ted is just the one who is taking all the shots because he's the top dog. Did you hear what Favre said about McCarthy on his Green & Gold interview about a week or two ago? It sums it up quite nicely and the fact that Ted would send congratulatory texts to Brett after accomplishments, including beating the Packers two times.

Conversely, Brett respects the hell out of Ted for that because he knows it was the right thing for the organization.

Brett famously said the backup QB's have a position coach and it wasn't his job to be a mentor. The interesting (to me) part is while he didn't wanna be QB Coach, he sure wanted to play defacto GM, lol.

McCarthy choosing to go with a different QB than him, that's something I don't think Brett will let go of any time soon.

Favre and his cadre have shown that they hold animosity toward Ted .

I look at it as Ray Rhodes started letting Bert run the team. But what really hurt things was the demise of Bert's dad, a former football coach himself.

After Big Irv passed on, Bert had no one to keep him real and keep his feet on the ground. All he had left was his wife and his agent, whispering in his ear about how great he was.

Call me a hater or whatever you like, but my emotions yesterday were very mixed. Time can heal some wounds and everything that is happening with him now was inevitable, but I'm not going to sit here and blindly cheer him like he did actually retire after 2007 and just gloss over everything he did afterward like it didn't matter. I cheered against him each of those 4 games he played against the Packers. I cheered against him in the in the '09 NFCCG when he threw that almost inevitable playoff killing INT and eventual FG that sent the Saints to the Super Bowl and the Vikings to another heart crushing playoff loss. I also felt a small sense of vindication as I watched Aaron hoist that SB trophy in 2010 knowing Minnesota had missed the playoffs, all the haters and Packer "fans" who jumped on Favre's bandwagon back the previous years and cheered for him while in New York or Minnesota and rooted against GB, who spit nothing but vitriol and hatred towards TT, MM, and Aaron for sending their lord and savior packing were proven once and for all wrong. That was a bit of poetic justice to me.

If Aaron Rodgers ends up in Minnesota I'll cheer against him too. I was at that last game in Lambeau and I have nothing to compare it to but I think you can safely say there was a bit more cheering against going on on that last drive because it was Favre but for a lot of fans it was simply because it was the vikings. I don't adjust my level of cheering againstness based on the player. They all get the same. Maximum cheering againstness

I know a lot of fans can say that but I can honestly say It did not make one bit of difference to me who that guy was. After each failed play my cheering was because the vikings failed and not because Brett Favre failed.
