Wilson 2015 ave:97.0 Against GB: 91.8 Difference: -5.2
Alex Smith 2015 ave:90.3 Against GB: 80.2 Difference: -10.1
Kaepernick 2015 ave:82.8 Against GB: 55.4 Difference: -27.4
Nick Foles 2015 ave:78.8 Against GB: 23.8 Difference: -55.0
Rivers 2015 ave:99.2 Against GB: 99.7 Difference: +0.5

Okay, so they allowed Rivers a whopping +0.5 points above his season average. That must be what you meant.

I've always been a Capers hater? How so?

Actually I don't know how you feel. I can only read what you post. The only things I have seen you post about him are "Capers should be fired" or "it's time for Capers to go." That and claims like "Every time we face a competent QB he looks better than he is"

4th and 26.

Wow, 2003 salt meet almost healed wound.
Let's see, Head Coach Mike Sherman, DC Ed Donatell. Six years before the Packers even hired Joe Whitt. How is that Whitt's fault?

I stand corrected, he had TWO good games in his life 🙂

It is true that this year we have managed to contain the QB quite well, except for Rivers.

Now let's be honest, I think we all know what I mean when I say the secondary has been our problem for years. This year we can think that Rivers just played a hell of a game if that is the case then we'll keep Manning under control and we'll have a defensive struggle against the Broncos. Then the SD game is just an anomaly and we have improved.

I think our defense is not as good as we think it is and I think Denver's defense is not as good as we think it is.

But whatever the result of the game it won't proof anything, it can be 48-45 and I can be wrong, or it can be 7-3 and then we let Newton pass for 500 yards (LOL).

The only thing we all agree is how sweet a win will be.

I would like to know which QBs are better against blitzing defenses because I think we are good against QBs that are weak against the blitz and we are bad against QBs that know how to handle the blitz, this is because Capers scheme is usually blitz-heavy. It works wonders against Cutler and is probable a bad idea against Rivers. Manning.... we'll see.

This year's secondary, while inexperienced, shows a lot of promise. 6 INTs, only 7 TD passes allowed (actually 6, wasn't one last week against a LB?) And we already looked at the opposing passer ratings.

The one where the opposing QB threw for 500 yards (but only managed 20 points by the way) or one of the others where none of the QBs managed over 300 yards and only one had over 225. Here we are rolling along pretty good against opposing QBs when one comes along and has a stellar game (yardage wise) and all of a sudden our secondary has always been our weak spot. I think it is far more likely that we hold Manning under 300 yards than it is he throws for 500.

The last two outings of Rodgers vs Wade the Packers scored 45 and 42 points with Rodgers tossing 9 TD's and 0 INT's.

Rodger is 3 - 2 against Wade, which includes the Dallas 2007 game where he came in for Brett Favre.

I like our chances. The QB differential should be in our favor. (Not to jinx us of course.)

At Denver Manning will have his best game in the last 10 years, he is not worst than Rivers and he is playing at home. The Denver defense will be tested for real for the first time in the season, they are not as good as everybody thinks they are.

Broncos 38 Packers 27

But the truth is we haven't defeated a good team on the road in the last 3 years and our secondary is quite bad.
