I get it. If you agree...not speculation. If you don't agree, all speculation and awful person presenting.

The best thing about his signing is he is reportedly tough. Our D has been so soft for so long but with Brice back there and Josh Jones as erratic as he is, we're adding some intimidators. Maybe, this will push the metrosexual Matthews to a new level along with soft Nick.

It's interesting that Uncle Ted never brings in FAs well none that count against the comp cap. Make that he doesn't bring in any young Fas who don't count against the comp cap. It seems to always be a sliding scale. I get frustrated that he doesn't acquire the eye popping game changer from time to time but there are not that many out there.

Brooks is not going to change the game. He won't become Def Player of the Year Woody. He won't become 10 sack Peppers.

What he will be is:
Needed depth at the OLB position.
A change of pace player that allows CM3 to move inside a few times a game.
A safety net that allows Fackrell, Elliott and Biegel more time to develop.

At worst he will eat up a little money this year and be gone. If he is lousy he won't even be activated for games. If he is mediocre he will stand on the sideline and trot out for 3-4 snaps to allow CM3 to catch his breath. If he is good he will be a solid part of the rotation. If he's great he will get another contract for a couple of more years.

Excuse me , but did or did not the Packers sign Ahmad Brooks to a 1 year deal ?

If true, then why does he not show up on the 53 man roster ? (per Packers.com)

[confused]

I feel like we're been trying to explain that over and over. Though the Adams to IR is a bit of speculation (but it seems like good speculation). I'm also wondering if they might do it with any other injured player as well... example being the Packers have 4 Centers right now with Barclay and Patrick also injured.

I understand Steve. I was referring to the fact Foster made Brooks very expendable to the Niners. He wouldn't have been out on the street for us to get, although, that is speculation on my part based on Foster's unbelievable play.

King over Foster has a real chance to be much worse than Bulaga over Dez.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
