I get what you are saying.
But look around the NFL. How many teams have QBs that are SOOO much worse then the one we have? We are so spoiled! For more then 25 years we have had top notch QBs.
Aaron Rodgers on a bad day is still better then two thirds of the QBs.
Do you not think that most of those teams would love to have Aaron Rodgers on their team?

With him we have a shot at a championship. Without him, we have NO chance.
I really believe that if they can pick up a few really good players on defense, and a few on offense, the Packers could make a real run at a championship.
They need to make a HUGE splash NOW.
Or it may be “back to the 1970’s and 80’s” for a looooong time.
Go after the BEST free agents. Do whatever it takes to do it. Don’t take no for an answer.
If you aren’t playing to win championships, then you might as well quit the NFL.

If this dude pulls his head out of his butt, he might be good again. Kinda seems like his body is breaking down tho. If he plays like he did last year, he might really get benched. Hope LeFleur can pull Aaron's shit back together for a year or two.

I really think that Rodgers will be fine. I think it was the whole messed up team, and coaching that made last year a wasted effort.
McCarthy on his way out, a defense that couldn’t really stop anybody, and the new WRs that weren’t on the same page with AR.
It’s only my opinion, but I hope my opinion is correct.

But as it concerns Earl Thomas, the subject of the thread...the same arguments for ET were made as Graham last year, with exceedingly marginal and expensive results.

With an incentive laden deal, sure.

Otherwise lets get edge guys and O linemen

If you're worried about his health, they were all freak accidents.

That shit happens.

Like when Kentrell Brice took out Muhammad Wilkerson for the season.

Scared money don't make money.

Graham was way on the down side when we signed him. He did very little his last couple years before we signed him.
Did Thomas look that bad?

Thomas was the best safety in the game last year before he broke his leg.

Lots of people hating on Graham, who has always struggled his first year with a team and as an inline blocker....

If he stays healthy, I'm thinking he might have a great bounce back year like he has in all of his seconds years with teams.

Graham's numbers have been good outside of first year with a team and the year Seahawks had absolutely horrible OL and asked him to help block waaaaaay too often.

================

As for Earl Thomas, when fully healthy, clearly the best Safety in the game today... and Pettine is system is all about coverage holding up and being creative up front... so something tells me they're going to address the DBs this off-season with some FA and/or high draft pick

I hope you are right Beast, and Graham has a great year. I only "hated" on him because I really thought he was gonna be something special last year. I was really dissapointed with his play.
And Thomas broken leg.......if it heals as most breaks do, he should still be a special player.
I hope we do make a play for him.
