"I thought it was going to be easier playing against Rodgers than Favre," defensive end Jared Allen said. "But it was easier playing Favre (last year) because he was not as mobile. (Rodgers) froze the defensive linemen with the play-action and his movement."

Allen was on the Chiefs last year, not the Vikings. And the Chiefs game was close. We won it in the last 3 minutes.

I just find it funny that last week you were all ripping the guy because he said he was going to sack A-Rod, and now, when Clifton handled him all night he has to save face by saying Rodgers is better than Favre, and you all agree with him like he's Moses or Jesus or something, giving the Sermon from the Mount.

Funny, that's all.

Another funny thing is that another guy says "It's a team game" when Rodgers is playing, but when Favre was a Packer, the same guy was ripping him unmercifully and blaming him for everything under the sun, including McCarthy's case of the hemmorhoids... :pottytrain2:

Funny, that's all.

Anyway, I must not be too bad. I got 39 applaudsesesssesss...

"Roddyboy" wrote:

You are lying. I criticized Favre when he deserved it and praised him when he deserved it. Over the years, he's gotten a lot more praise from me than criticism. I did not rip him unmercifully and blame him for everything under the sun. This is beginning to feel like the old News-Chronicle forum. Instead of enjoying a win and discussing it, we end up arguing with someone who's not even a Packer fan.

As for Jared Allen, nobody is mistaking him for Jesus. The guy who plays for our biggest rival ran his mouth before the game and ended up singing a different tune after it was over. It doesn't get any better than that, and if I have to explain it to you, you're probably never going to get it anyway.

He's not going to get it, He's going to cling to every last hope that the pack implodes cuz BF ain't there no more. Very sad, more sad than the whole stinking mess this summer.

Go Pack! 1-0 with a chance to go 2-0 against another division foe.

Anyone ever wish the Lions would pull there shit together and field a team? It would make the NFCN so much more interesting, and we could play a team in the division I don't actually hate!

Roddy is just trying his best imitation as a "troll". Trying to get people worked up.
I mean, heck........we WON. We KNOW he was hoping for us to lose, so he could say "See? See how bad we are with Rodgers as QB???"
Unfortunatly for him, Rodgers looked great, we got a win. So how can anyone take ANYTHING he says seriously?
I know i don't!

I've always had a soft spot for the Lions and the Saints. No matter how bad we were in the past, those two teams always seemed to roll over and play dead for us. Plus, Barry Sanders I've always admired.

I actually root for NFC North teams. I'd like to see the four of us with winning records, and of course with us on top and winning the SB. I'd rather be a King of Beasts than the team who won the division because we were the only ones with a winning record, if you know what I mean.

I think the Cows' division will be the toughest this year. Cows, Giants, and Eagles will all have winning records.

If the Vikings hadn't made one mistake they could've kept driving... and if we hadn't made mistake after mistake we would've had at least 10 more points on the board.

Waaaah Waaaaaaahhhhh Roddy.

I (and my fingernails) fully realize how close it was there at the end, believe me. I do think that we outplayed them, but also had far more mistakes (i.e. big penalties) than them.
I'm happy that we got out of there with a W against AD and that defense with that many penalties, and I saw plenty of reasons to feel confident about the team as we move forward and clean some stuff up.

I will say this. I don't know if we would've won this game with Favre.

Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : beast, reading about what happened, it sounded like one of those "two guys collide and are moving slow afterwards" type of deals
beast (12-Aug) : I believe Musgrave has been injured every single season since at least a Sophomore in highschool
packerfanoutwest (12-Aug) : Matt LaFleur: “Highly unlikely” Jordan Love plays more this preseason
dfosterf (12-Aug) : Doubs, Savion Williams, LVN, Musgrave all banged up to one degree or another, missing one here I forget

TheKanataThrilla (9-Aug) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
