That said, we need a different set of plays. More screens. Did you hear that MM?

Also, WR screens. Come on MM. We have some spectacular WRs at getting YAC plus blocking. Let's put them to use.

We got to cut down on the amount of sacks but with our talent (besides on the OL), I don't want us to cut down on our passing either. Keep passing, but adjust accordingly.

Just a little more math (and to partly piss of Iron Man even more):

On that trend, the Packers are on pace to give up 80 sacks.

Compare that with the EXPANSION TEXANS, who gave up 76 sacks in the 2002-2003 season.

That's beyond a scary stat.

Zombie,

They did run a lot of screens. At least three to Grant and two to Lee. You can't run them all day. My frustration with McCarthy's play calling is there is not enough 1st down runs. I think you run on first down. I know it's predictable, but 2nd and 7 or 8 looks a lot better than 2nd and 10 or with the Packers' offensive line, 2nd and 17.

Besides continuing arguing over this point, I do agree that some experience is needed. Not sure Jones is the answer, but then again probably not much better than him out there right now.

Taush and Jones would by short-term fixes. Ted Thompson sure as hell better figure something out this off-season to soldify the future at the position.

Short-term is all I'm looking for right now. GB is an offensive line away from being a playoff caliber football team especially with and I hate to say this, but an easy schedule. They get Detroit, Cleveland and Minnesota at home in their next three.

Fred Jackson > Ryan Grant as a runningback. I get what you're saying though and even a little improvement and maybe GB is 3-1 right now.

You know, thinking back I found it kind of funny how MM is with injuries (always tends to err on the side of caution) but he was quite ready to see Cliffy give a test to see it go.

In retrospect, maybe MM realized how in over his head Colledge would be if he did have to start at LT. Perhaps that is why MM tried to give Cliffy every chance to come back early.

Also interesting to note how this bye could not come at a better time. Packers have a major issue here needing to be fixed. They now have some time to fix it; at the start of the year I never imagined I'd be this happy to have the bye in week 5.

MN runs more. I've watched them play this year and they do a lot of screens. They work.

I remember when we had the bad OL with Lynn Dickey, James Lofton, John Jefferson, etc. We'd do 6 or 7 a game, or even more. Yes, you can do them all day. Then the D has to adjust then you adjust to their adjustments.

Our o-line is terrible, if not the worst in the league.

Here's my proposition: We trade Kampman for a quality tackle. Yes I know everyone loves Kampman but it's better for Kampman and for the Packers at this situation.

Kampman is replaceable in the 3-4, I'd agree with you that his not replaceable in the 4-3 but in the 3-4 we've got other people that could get the same job as his doing done.

Packers Advantage: Getting a quality tackle or guard

Kampman Advantage: Playing in a 4-3 defense where he could play to what his great at. A chance to get his stats up and maybe get a fatter contract in the following years.

Other team advantage: Getting a quality DE with capability of double digit sacks.

That way we won't get a blow or a whole in the team nor will lose any of our early draft picks.

That's probably the only way we could fix this o-line (Well it'd be a start)

*Barbe needs to be replaced A.S.A.P.

Now coaching side I'd like to see more runs please and a bit more screens. I don't remember in tonight's game ever failing in a screen pass.

*Capers played scared tonight, he was scared that if he sends to many blitz Favre would rip this defense apart. Well I'd rather get burnt on blitz pressuring him / hitting him / making him force throws then letting him rip this defense on a so called man to man or zone in whichever situation this defense is lined up.

It's unbelievable how a QB can have 7.35 seconds to throw a ball.

Also I'd like to see our safeties more involved in the pass game, maybe more aggressive.

Aaron played a near perfect game except for some plays (int) which was a bad call by the coaches and a bad decision from the part of the WR and the QB for actually going to that pass. Also I'd like to see some more play where Aaron uses his legs to get the first down instead of getting sacked and taking to much time to throw.

Major problem = o-line
Problem = d-line pressure
Needs to be tweaked = safeties

*Needs a good slap to wake up = Al Harris

If they lose one of those games or two, we could hurt them bad in the next game considering we win out until then.

I don't think two more screens makes a difference in the game. I liked the fact that they ran more against Minnesota than I think they've ran all season and probably for quite a while. Hopefully that is a start, but this team shouldn't have to run seven or eight a game. Not with the passing game that they've potentially have.

A d-line isn't going to cause pressure in a 3-4. They need to send blitz packages for that. Our D-Line is doing an excellent job pusshing the pile forward BTW. Jenkins, Raji and Jolly looking phenominal. But we aren't going to get pressure rushing 3 or even 4 guys through a 5-6 man protection.

We need to mix blitzes and at least send 5 every down. I think they let them play us. Zone defense does NOT work without pressure. Favre handles pressure better then Rodgers and other QB's BTW. He delivers the ball quickly.

They can't send the same guys every time either, they need to mix up the guys they send. We were very big on stopping the run this game I think that set up things for Favre. Peterson was destroyed tonight.
